Sam Ryder to release his Christmas song on CD for December 15th - I think with the help of Alexa's streaming, he has a very real chance of getting Christmas number 1!

I can't see the CD being that huge of a seller.

Sam has a pull on the general public but I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. He is notoriously bad when it comes to promoting his music. He will mention things once, and then you never hear another word about it. He forgot to even say when his Christmas song was being released or what platform it was on, which proves my point further.

He’s not the first artist to not say much about their Amazon Exclusive song though.

Brenda has officially reached #1 on the US Hot 100 for the first time!! 63 years after it first charted... :cheeseblock:

It's actually Laura Les x

Yass Brenda though :cheeseblock: Mariah found rotting

And now the Christmas release you've all been waiting for. Marillion have released a few Christmas songs over the years and this year they have done a cover of Greg Lake's classic 'I Believe In Father Christmas'. It's an excellent version of the song.

From the OCC.

It's been announced that the Pogues will be releasing a very special, limitied edition vinyl release of Fairytale of New York featuring Kirsty MacColl next week.

The new release of the modern festive classic will certainly see its chances for success as 2023's Christmas Number 1 single heavily increased.

With a new physical release expected to drop December 19, this puts The Pogues in direct competition for the most important Number 1 of the year.

The lead contenders so far, Wham! with Last Christmas, also announced yesterday that their 1984 classic would be issued on CD for the first time ever, in a bid to secure Last Christmas its first-ever stint at Number 1.

The Official Christmas Number 1 race 2023 kicks off Friday December 15 with sales and streams counting up until midnight (11.59pm) on Thursday, December 21.

Steven Wilson has been persuaded by a friend to write a Christmas song. He didn't want to write Christmassy lyrics so his friend asked ChatGPT to "generate Christmas lyrics in the style of Steven Wilson".
