The Monaco Grand Prix will remain on the F1 calendar until at least 2031, with races held in June instead of May from 2026
Switching the date to June makes sense, as they can run the Miami and Montreal races consecutively. I just hope they don't put Miami on at the same time as the Indy 500. Mind you, I'd rather skip Miami than Monaco if it came to it

Also opens up the potential for more drivers attempting the triple crown if they're able to do Monaco and Indy in the same year! Alonso had to miss out on a Monaco GP to do Indy one year!

(of course, most drivers would only miss out on a grand prix if they already have 2 of the 3 but you never know!)

Not so sure of that. The build up to Indy via qualifying takes place over several weekends and then there's the race. It's practically a month build up. With tht F1 calendar so stacked theses days you'd have to miss at least two GP I reckon

Never been a huge fan of Damon's role. He's a nice guy and gives reasonable perspective but he is a bit dull and there's no great insights from him usually despite his experience.

That being said I would have no objection to him carrying on if he could and would much rather some of the other individuals from team Sky left - Crofty and Kravitz in partcular are irritating beyond belief.

I wonder if the team will be streamlined or there'll be a replacement (if only Raikkonen could be convinced to do it, the lineup needs someone with real personality)

Formula 1 has formally announced that from 2026 the Canadian Grand Prix will move to earlier in the calendar to “rationalise” the schedule with an expected link with Miami.

In a statement issued on Monday, F1 said that the Montreal race is “planned to be scheduled on the third or fourth weekend of May each year”, rather than mid-June as it has typically been held in recent seasons.

Yuki Tsunoda says he "nearly got sent back home" after being held by immigration officials as he tried to enter the USA.

The 24-year-old flew to America earlier this week ahead of Sunday's Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Tsunoda was not accompanied by his Red Bull team, travelling to the United States with just his physio.

Despite having the correct paperwork and required visas, Tsunoda says he was held by the US customs and border protection for up to three hours.

"Luckily, they let me in after a couple of discussions," said Tsunoda.

"Well, a lot of discussions, actually. But yeah, I nearly got sent back home.

"Suddenly he [the official] just put me in the room and when I had a conversation I was like, 'Can I bring the person that I'm going to travel with?' Maybe he can help a little bit to explain a bit more about myself and the situation in Formula 1?

Lewis Hamilton says he will "give it absolutely everything" for his final three races with Mercedes despite feeling like walking away after struggling badly in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

The seven-time world champion finished 10th in the grand prix and 11th in the sprint race in Interlagos three weeks ago.

Following the main race, he described it as "a disaster of a weekend" on team radio, adding: "If this is the last time I get to perform it was a shame it wasn't great but [i am] grateful for you."

Mercedes' George Russell says the Formula 1 drivers are "a bit fed up" with the leadership of the sport’s governing body, the FIA.

Russell, a director of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA), said the drivers "weren’t aware" of the decision to remove the race director Niels Wittich three races before the end of the season.

The Briton said: "There are a number of drivers who feel a bit fed up with the whole situation and it only seems to be going to a degree in the wrong direction."

another disaster for Perez in today's qually, disaster number 4842978234987 this season :D

Russell and the Ferraris doing very well, McLaren not so much and Hamilton should have been on top but alas...

woner how much $$$ is Colapinto costing Williams with so many accidents in recent times :o

Colapinto's stock crumbling quicker than Ratners...

Interesting grid there, Gasly in third is mega impressive.

they were interviewing Norris and he sounded already defeated, not how a (still) candidate should sound

really hope next year they favour Piastri from the get going

well congrats to Max, not even sure if Norris was in Las Vegas today :D

Mercedes and Ferrari did great today

I don't know what's happening but congratulations Max!

This is why becoming a World Champion on Saturday seems weird to me.

The right driver wins the title and it's probably his finest season to date.

Shame Lewis ballsed up qualifying as he had the measure of Russell this weekend, otherwise.

Already looks like next year could be anyone's if car development continues the pattern of these last couple of years, especially as Red Bull will get plenty of wind tunnell testing back.
