I'm kind of sure you're confusing "Training Season" with "Physical" because the former was indeed sent and promoted as a single in the States, while the latter wasn't.I mean, going back to 2024, the release of "Training Season" was a (little) mess because she performed the track in a medley with "Dance the Night" and "Houdini" at the GRAMMYs on February 4, but they opted to wait two weeks (February 15) to release the song instead of doing an OA/OS release that day or release on February 2. Either way, after the GRAMMYs performance, "Houdini" had a little surge or a soft second wind which made Warner to keep promoting the track in the US. However, "Training Season" began to have some traction, so they were conflicted what to do and they finally gave the track an impact date of March 5 (three weeks after its release).On the other hand, it's true that they jumped really fast to "Illusion", lol! 😆 The track was available on April 11 and it went for adds immediately upon its release, which means that its adds date was on April 16.The main issue, I think, was that Warner couldn't handle to have two (even, three) "active" songs of the same artist at the same time and this is something I personally question a lot. I'm aware that the typical thing to do is to promote only a song from an artist, but there are cases (especially from Republic) where they can easily have two, even three, songs from the same artist to be promoted simultaneously without affecting each other.FYI, my point isn't Dua should change labels, but I think that "to kill a song to promote a new one" is an outdated technique and this is exactly what happened to "Training Season" two years ago.

3 hours ago3 hr I definitely didn't confuse it with the Physical release, however, I could swear this was also brushed under the carpet in 2024 , as I don't remember ever making an impact on US radios!!!Just happy it's getting the love it deserves
