My ReviewNow That’s What I Call Music! 112 aka Now 112 was released in the summer of 2022 and featured 48 tracks including just one UK #1 single. It became the first volume in the series to include music by Sam Ryder and LF System.

The biggest name of 2022 was absent from this volume, as Harry Styles became a very clear omission with the best selling UK #1 single of 2022, As It Was. Along with this, the reborn interest in Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush which caused the song to reach #1 for the first time was also overlooked, though this song did feature originally on Now 6. Other absentees include Kendrick Lamar, ArrDee, Beyoncé, Wet Leg and others.

As at the time of this review, it is the only volume in the series to include music by Latto, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Benson Boone, Bring Me The Horizon, KALUSH, Jack Harlow, Don Toliver and Baby Queen.

Artwork Rating: 2/10 Awful

Another very childish design with animated characters surrounding the logo, including more overuse of the unoriginal Now pig. It might look bright and summery, but it is nothing we haven't seen on many occasions before, and this was just not a very original design once again.

Disc 1 Favourite: David Guetta x Becky Hill x Ella Henderson – Crazy What Love Can Do

It was a big hit for the three names involved in this single, and testament to the success that both Becky and Ella had been enjoying much more in recent times, and they were in demand vocalists which many dance producers, including David Guetta, were eager to snap up for recording duties.

Disc 2 Favourite: Tom Grennan – Remind Me

Very much enjoyed this whole era by Tom Grennan, and I was very pleased to see his singles get included on each Now volume at the time, and this was no exception.

Disc 3 Tracklist:

(A concept of what a third disc might look like if other hits from the era were used)

1. Harry Styles – As It Was 2:47 {1}

2. Kate Bush – Running Up That Hill 4:59 {1}

3. Future feat. Drake & Tems – Wait For U 3:10 {8}

4. Kendrick Lamar, Blxst & Amanda Reifer – Die Hard 3:59 {7}

5. Ed Sheeran feat. Lil Baby – 2step 2:43 {9}

6. ArrDee – Come & Go 3:00 {16}

7. Aitch – 1989 2:18 {23}

8. Digga D – Hold It Down 2:13 {35}

9. Central Cee – Doja 1:37 {2}

10. Beyoncé – BREAK MY SOUL 4:38 {2}

11. D.O.D. & Carla Monroe – Still Sleepless 2:43 {46}

12. Tom Santa – Rainfall 2:47 {42}

13. BTS – Yet To Come 3:14 {27}

14. venbee & Dan Fable – Low Down 3:03 {59}

15. Leah Kate – 10 Things I Hate About You 2:37 {30}

16. Wet Leg – Chaise Longue 3:17 {74}

17. Liam Gallagher – Diamond In The Dark 3:25 {65}

18. Pink Floyd feat. Andriy Khlyvnyuk – Hey Hey Rise Up 3:26 {49}

19. Doja Cat – Vegas 3:03 {24}

20. Halsey – So Good 2:56 {67}

21. Tate McRae – Chaotic 2:59 {36}

22. Dylan Conrique – Birthday Cake 3:25 {30}

23. Joji – Glimpse Of Us 3:53 {12}

24. Adele – I Drink Wine 6:16 {4}

----------

Total time: 1:18:28

Overall Rating: 3/10 Extremely Poor

The omission of Harry Styles, whilst this was likely due to licencing constraints, made this volume a much weaker offering because of it. Then Kate Bush being left out too was another disappointing outcome, and it has left only one UK #1 on the volume making it feel much less remembered than the music in the charts at the time.
