Posted January 5, 200718 yr Well i think its becoming to late, the selfishness of the population is destroying the world. Everytime i open the window, and its basically country side here, i can see the power station and smell the dirt in the air. Winter 06/07 could turn out to be the mildest most snowless ever at this rate with little sign of any change and its set to be the warmest year on record. Even if we cut down on it now its not going to make much of a difference with the selfish government.
January 6, 200718 yr One thing Al Gore says is people go straight from denial to despair. Giving up is probably the most dangerous option. 2007 will be the hottest year on record and it's likely the next few years will continue to break records but before we reverse the trends we have to halt them. If each person begins to change his/her lifestyle and encourages others to follow suit, there's hope.
January 7, 200718 yr I think the tendency is that nature will destroy the human race and rebuild itself. Most people don´t think about problems the Earth will face in future generations cause they won´t be alive anyway. Maybe we all will die and in some millions of year a new intelligent race will develop in this planet and treat it better.
January 7, 200718 yr im not convinced that it is our actions that is effecting the climate tbh, the earth has had warmer/colder periods in the past, long before mankind was around. its far too simplistic to say 'we are warming up the planet due to emmissions'.. the truth is far more complex. however... im against pollution simply because it disrespects the planet... nature.. the very life support systems that keep us alive. supposing that is IS us thats causing gw... it would be no use us in this country alone stopping pollution... the whole world would have to curb its actions, and arrogant buggers like america and china simply wont play ball...
January 7, 200718 yr Okay, I felt this winter (in the US anyways) that it was soooooo hotter than the other ones, and I am worrying about that! Some people are just too concentrated on how they look, how wealthy they are, how famous they are, etc, when they can't even notice that, in some years (whether it be next year, in a decade, or in a century) this whole world will burn to crisps and it'll go into an ice age.
January 9, 200718 yr wasn't global warming an issue when the industrial age was in full swing  as has been said the Earth goes through cycles of heating up and cooling down, and the convenient reason to scaremonger ppl is to bring emissions and doomsday
January 9, 200718 yr Okay, I felt this winter (in the US anyways) that it was soooooo hotter than the other ones, and I am worrying about that! Exactly. What the hell has happened to our weather. The summers are too hot, my mum said they never used to be like that years ago, and the winters aren't cold at all. Then we get snow in like march.
January 9, 200718 yr as prince said "sometimes it snows in april" !!!!!!!!!!!! lol, couldnt resist.... i say, live and let die. who cares if the planets dying????? my generation wont be around to see it happen!!!!!!
January 9, 200718 yr Exactly. What the hell has happened to our weather. The summers are too hot, my mum said they never used to be like that years ago, and the winters aren't cold at all. Then we get snow in like march. thats nonsense.... sorry but the facts simply dont agree! doesnt your mum remember '76? the hottest uk summer on record? memory is selective, try using facts, recorded data... ok the recent summers have thankfully been among some of the warmest on record, but to dismiss summers of old as cooler is nonsense! fact... the warmest decade on record was the 1730's!!!!
January 9, 200718 yr thats nonsense.... sorry but the facts simply dont agree! doesnt your mum remember '76? the hottest uk summer on record? memory is selective, try using facts, recorded data... ok the recent summers have thankfully been among some of the warmest on record, but to dismiss summers of old as cooler is nonsense! fact... the warmest decade on record was the 1730's!!!! Yeah she meant before that... The summers are just unbearable now. I like warm weather, but not that hot.

January 9, 200718 yr your hands go like sand paper. that happens to all drummers.....yes.....even ringo!
January 9, 200718 yr I happen to care about my children, my children's children etc. so I DO care  yeah, but you only live once so why go through life worrying about whats gonna happen in a hundred years???
January 9, 200718 yr yeah, but you only live once so why go through life worrying about whats gonna happen in a hundred years??? Because what we do is going to affect their lives too! How would you like it if the previous generations before you left the planet that it looks like we might leave them if we don't act now?
January 9, 200718 yr i wouldnt know any different though would i????? Well they probably will know it was our selfishness' fault, yes -_-
January 10, 200718 yr yeah, but you only live once so why go through life worrying about whats gonna happen in a hundred years??? thats the narrow minded attitude thats got us into this mess in the first place!
