I'm pretty confident Catfish will manage to make the top 40 with a comeback single but why on earth a Thursday release? Essentially chucking a fanbase purchase/curiosity listen day away in chart terms.

I've heard from people in the industry that it's generally more viable to release on Wednesday or Thursday because you can utilise that fandom to make a stronger impression (and a stronger case for playlisting) while you're not competing with everyone else at once. Friday can be winging it in some regards because you can miss the press cycle and then Saturday/Sunday are the worst days of the week for new music. A lot of those songs back in the day with 'wasted' Thursday sales probably would not have done as well on a Friday, in the moment and in their life time. If something's gonna be a hit, the first week doesn't matter, if it's not, then very few people care about the difference between a #19 peak and a #27 peak.

Dua at @14 on Apple now but thats worrisome

Is she not being pushed on Apple?

She should do much better on Spotify as shes @1 on NMF, HH and TTH

Lol at Hadji suggesting Texas is only doing well cos its Beyonce

When shes released not 1 but 2 tracks and the other charted at 44 yesterday

As opposed to 1 & 2 on name alone lol

You make a good point about 16 carriages. I personally prefer 16 carriages, but it does put a stop to the idea that Texas is performing well just because it’s Beyoncé. Of course it makes a difference but you could make that argument for any big artist.

She's not #1 on TTH, she's #2 behind Tate McRae

On Apple, Training Season is #11 on Today's Hits playlist

It’s Radio 1’s Hottest Record. I doubt they’re too fussed with chart placements, IIRC ‘Longshot’ released on a Monday!

Also was expecting a bigger impact for the Calvin & Rage n Bone Man collab,

so far #47 on Apple seems pretty low

She's not #1 on TTH, she's #2 behind Tate McRae

On Apple, Training Season is #11 on Today's Hits playlist

And No1 on the A List Pop playlist, no1 on the new pop playlist, no1 on the NMD playlist….

Beyoncé is up two spots to #7 on the Daily Artists chart on Spotify yesterday, so could signify a sizeable jump in streams. :cheer:

Like I said, it’s almost an inevitability that she’s going #1 next week. She’s been trending upwards since the song was released and is ahead of her closest competitor on the 3 most important platforms.

Beyoncé stable at #2 with 571,903 streams. Benson at #3 with 474,735. Think she might snatch the #1 this week!

Yeah, easily.

Wow huge increase

And she wasnt even high on NMF

As its the norm on midweek releases

Dua is in at 8 :o

Calvin/rag at 47

Huge climb for this Djo person to 38

Edited by Bjork

I’ve been seeing djo’s song all over my tiktok! It’s quite a lovely song imo so I’m here for it being a hit!
With so much build up I was hoping and expecting Dua to debut a bit higher than that tbh
