March 7, 20241 yr Quite some confidence in Dizzy to put it as track 1 above Houdini *.* Nice Danny L Harle 1-2 anyway. Sophie deserves more than the last spot, but I guess it's just the 'old song' place along with Unwritten - nice to finally see that make a numbered Now. Prada missing is a bit baffling, is there no clean version of it? MOS are usually ok with explicit lyrics I think, and it's the explicit version on Bravo The Hits 2023 too. There are still so few top ten hits though, 11 if you count Unwritten the first time around. Dizzy and Alibi will have future chances though.

March 7, 20241 yr Official Twitter/X post for both releases: https://twitter.com/NOWMusic/status/1765757...sBH0hA&s=19
March 7, 20241 yr And Calvin only once. Shame his latest hit isn’t on there as he’s a Now favourite. At least there’s a few 1xtra songs on there unlike Now 115 which didn’t have any
March 7, 20241 yr I'm surprised Ed Sheeran's American Town didn't appear on the tracklist since a few songs that didn't appear on NOW 116 (Agora Hills, Used to Be Young, get him back!, Water etc.) appear on NOW 117 and similar to Calvin, he's a NOW favourite. Edited March 7, 20241 yr by IdentFan101

March 7, 20241 yr RAYE, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat I mean, they’re all pretty pop-based as far as chart rap goes (and RAYE isn’t even that) more Radio 1/Capital than anything.
March 7, 20241 yr I mean, they’re all pretty pop-based as far as chart rap goes (and RAYE isn’t even that) more Radio 1/Capital than anything. I also forgot Central Cee
March 7, 20241 yr Author Just listening to that awful remix of The Sound Of Silence whilst realising the original recording from 2016 was never featured.
March 7, 20241 yr Really good tracklist actually, might buy the CD for the first time in a long time EDIT: And if we want to talk about radio stations, two thirds of this album has been on the Radio 2 playlist at some point. Edited March 7, 20241 yr by lewistgreen
March 7, 20241 yr Shame the original didn’t appear on Now 94 and shame Prada isn’t on there seeing as it’s been on other compilations
March 7, 20241 yr Nice to see Troye Sivan finally debut as a main artist. Rush should've been on NOW 115! Pet Shop Boys haven't appeared since NOW 72, so was not expecting to see them again. Quite iconic really J.Lo sneaking in another appearance as well? Fair play! I love that song Two Kylie songs! Amazing! And Natasha Bedingfield hasn't appeared on a NOW since 67! Glad Unwritten made it. Also, so many samples connect this album to so many other NOWs. Off the top of my head we have: Ella Henderson feat. Rudimental - Alibi / Coolio feat. L.V. - Gangsta's Paradise (NOW 32) Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday Girls / Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want To Have Fun (NOW 2) Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder On The Dancefloor (Not a sample, but was previously on NOW 51) David Guetta & Kim Petras - When We Were Young (The Logical Song) / Scooter - The Logical Song (NOW 52) If I've missed any, let me know.
March 7, 20241 yr RE: Prada, not sure what's happened there. There is a clean version so it's not that. It's a Ministry of Sound single, which belongs to Sony who also release the Now compilations. Maybe, and quite rightfully, it's something to do with not wanting D-Block Europe to appear :kink: (or it's not that deep and it just didn't get included becuase it didn't).
March 7, 20241 yr I prefer spring Nows being released before Easter. One of the reasons is because a lot of people tend to go away for Easter weekend and releasing the spring Now before Easter like they used to gives people something to listen to for their journeys
