OK track list but they could’ve included more songs to fill the discs. At least the track list isn’t disastrous like Now 119 was. I knew with Lady Gaga, they would include Disease and Abracadabra will most likely appear on Now 121

Artwork for the album for those who haven't seen it is Slinkys against a sky background, and the pig appears below the "THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC!" cylinder.

Wow! There's a lot of great stuff on NOW 120!

Immediate thoughts:

  • Tracks 1-7 being songs by the Pop Girls! Iconic! Brilliant! It's what we deserve!

  • APT. is here! That follows "Gangam Style", "Gentleman", "My Universe", and "Cupid" in the K-Pop stars appearing!

  • My favourite song of the moment "Pink Pony Club" is here! This is the first "Pony" song to appear on the Numbered NOW series! It's also the 3rd song to feature Pink the title (after Pink Cadillac on NOW 12 & Pink Friday Girls on NOW 117). P!nk & PinkPantheress have made numerous appearances, but have no songs with Pink in the name.

  • Bed Chem! I guess Busy Woman was too late to be added? Or they think it's gonna get bigger over time?

  • Guess is missing, but we got Apple! I guess the remix is harder to license that we thought.

  • Tracks 11-13 are again more amazing tracks by the biggest female acts of the moment!

  • Interesting that "Buzz" single "IT Girl" is here instead of "Fantasy", but it was bigger.

  • Dirty Cash makes it's 2nd appearance on the NOW series, the first being on NOW 18. Technically it also appears on NOW 76 as well, as Dizzee Rascal uses it in his song "Dirtee Cash", which was then mashed up with Florence + The Machine's cover of You Got the Love at the 2010 Brit Awards (another song with multiple appearances on the NOWs)

  • Doechii, SZA, and Tyler make fabulous holy trio from 15-17

  • Olivia Dean joins Geri's "It's Raining Men", Gabrielle's "Out Of Reach", Jamelia's "Stop", and Ellie Goulding's "Still Falling For You" in the list of Bridget Jones songs on the NOWs

  • Disc 2 is... Disc 2

  • But The Cure make their first appearance since NOW 22's "Friday I'm In Love"!

  • Olly Alexander, and Confidence Man are lovely inclusions! We love a Pop Bop!

  • And I do love Filthy Rich by Ella Henderson

  • The artist/band that has the most appearances across the whole NOW franchise on this album is Coldplay. "All My Love" is there 25th appearance since NOW 46 with Yellow. Elton John is the most featured artist on the NOW Yearbooks (including Extras) that appears here with his collab with Brandi Carlile

  • Missing for me: Defying Gravity by Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande, and Guess (Remix) by Charli XCX & Billie Eilish. Missing for everyone else: Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us

Defying Gravity being omitted is probably due to the Wicked soundtrack still being at #1 on the compilation chart. I’ll be surprised if it pops up on Now 121 and same goes with Busy Woman. I was expecting Now 120 to be announced next week and released on 11th April but at least it’s released before Easter this time

It’s an ok track list. Disc 1 is very strong, Disc 2 really isn’t. But 17 top ten hits and 4 No.1s (come tomorrow) is a better strike rate than some Nows recently.

Not mad on the cover, I suppose the springs are to represent the season of Spring though.

I reckon next weeks announcement will be 12" 1984 part 2 and announce the next yearbook whether it’s 70s or 1989 the following week. I hope the next yearbook is 1989 before they do another 70s yearbook. Also nice to see that Now 120 is being released before Easter. I think they’re gonna start doing set release dates for the spring Nows on either first or second Friday in April. With Good Friday falling on 3rd April next year, that means Now 123 if released next year will most likely be released 10th April

Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter & Tate McRae will all reappear on the next release with their latest singles.

I don’t think The Days is the Notion remix which it should be as it was the remix that helped the song to become a hit and they need to reduce the price of the album. HMV has it at £15 and Now store has it at £13. If it has low sales, we’ll know it’s because of the price of the album. They should reduce it to make it more affordable

The price doesn't matter, it'll be the same core fanbase buying it meaning a 10k week one opening and a plummet straight after.

As far as Radio 2 artists go i was hoping Kim Wilde would make her first NOW appearance since NOW 25. Nevermind.

Yes it does. When Now 116 had a price decrease, it had an increase in sales. They should be putting their prices down, not up. If you keep increasing your prices, you will lose customers. That’s how business works. They should be charging £10 for their albums because that’s what they’re worth. It’s like stopping shopping at certain places because that place is increasing their prices

The following songs made my personal chart:

Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club

Charli xcx - Apple

Lady Gaga - Disease

The Weeknd - Timeless (feat. Playboi Carti)

Addison Rae - Diet Pepsi

JADE - IT girl

The Marías - No One Noticed

Sam Barber - Indigo (feat. Avery Anna)

so very much team Disc 1 as well

They would not make any profit at £10 and the albums would cease to exist - the sales increase would be minimal, like a couple of hundred copies, which wouldn’t offset the loss from the big price drop.

I don’t expect that the numbered albums turn much profit as it is, they are there to keep the brand’s core product alive while they can. The expensive yearbook and boxset vinyls are where the actual money is.

Songs that could make NOW 121:

• Three Six Five (actually might be SD's first appearance after "Second Chance" was passed for NOW 72)

• I Want it That Way (previously on NOW 43, may appear with BSB's Millennium 2.0 album coming soon)

• luther (only if popularity persists)

• Cry for Me (again, only if popularity lasts)

Plus...NOW 120 disc 3 concept tracklisting:

  1. Born Again

  2. Who

  3. Abracadabra

  4. Forever Young

  5. Oscar Winning Tears.

  6. LIFETIMES

  7. sports car

  8. Busy Woman

  9. Fat, Juicy & Wet

  10. squabble up

  11. Blick Sum

  12. Sticky

  13. Aquamarine

  14. CRIMINALS

  15. Call Me When You Break Up

  16. 2 hands

  17. Good News

  18. Forbidden Road

  19. Heavy is the Crown

  20. I'll Stand By You

  21. Teardrops

  22. Defying Gravity (from Wicked)

Issuing the numbered series on vinyl would also help its declining sales and in terms of sales, the yearbooks are their second biggest seller behind the numbered series as for set release dates for Spring Nows, I think they have set release dates of first Friday in April, second Friday in April if first Friday is Good Friday

Some people are forgetting that at one point CD Compilations costed between £15-£18, I still on own a Top Of The Pops CD with the ASDA Price sticker on it with £16.99 on it.

It must cost a lot more to make these now, so they have to hike the prices back up.

They can put their prices up and they will lose buyers. That’s how business works. It’s like being a regular customer at a place and you stop going there because they increase their prices

These songs I'm hoping get picked for Now 121;

Lady Gaga – Abracadabra

Tate McRae – 2 hands / Sports car

Sabrina Carpenter – Busy Woman

Chappell Roan – The Giver

JADE – FUFN

Doechii – Anxiety

Sam Fender – Arm's Length

Morgan Wallen – I'm The Problem

Benson Boone – Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else

Remember Monday – What The Hell Just Happened?

I just hope that Kylie Minogue appears if she has a new song by then. I hope she hasn’t decided to become unlicensable seeing as she’s isn’t on Now Gold, Now 120 or extra 1998. We’ll have to wait until we get the 1989 yearbook to see whether she appears or not
