I am disappointed with how its all been handled and something feels really off with how the EBU have approached who whole Israel situation and its completly overshadowing the contest.

I was initially super excited especially with the fact Ireland qualified after so many years of DNQ but with how things are now I can't help but feel this years contest could leave a lasting effect on how people feel about the competition that will do damage.

The political connection to eurovision is always speculated which now this mess seems to confirm it for many.

That’s what’s sad too, it’s a really good year songs wise and countries like Georgia, Ireland and Latvia have ended long NQ streaks so the fans from those countries should be happy and excited.

Even if we disregard Israel which has been a cloud over the whole season, even just the way this Joost saga is being handled shows no regard for the fans. People have come from all over the world for this, and Eurovision is nothing without the fans. This isn’t what Eurovision has been in the past or anywhere near what it should be.
