Back on 74 Top 50!

Should be a top 10 hit by Xmas the rate it’s rising!

Just like last week, a little week-on-week comparison of the midweek top 5 (+ Noah) for Friday to Sunday's updates:

Last week (Friday to Sunday)

01 1,675,450 Noah Kahan - Stick Season

02 1,635,107 Benson Boone - Beautiful Things

03 1,624,402 Djo - End of Beginning

04 1,503,799 Ariana Grande - we can't be friends (wait for your love)

05 1,307,269 Teddy Swims - Lose Control

06 1,272,212 Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM

This week (Friday to Sunday)

01 1,697,594 Noah Kahan - Stick Season

02 1,666,418 Benson Boone - Beautiful Things

03 1,572,000 Djo - End of Beginning

04 1,360,194 Teddy Swims - Lose Control

05 1,317,107 Ariana Grande - we can't be friends (wait for your love)

06 1,198,505 Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM

Percentage change

+4.0% Teddy Swims - Lose Control

+1.9% Benson Boone - Beautiful Things

+1.3% Noah Kahan - Stick Season

-3.2% Djo - End of Beginning

-5.8% Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM

-12.4% Ariana Grande - we can't be friends (wait for your love)

Benson's closed the gap on Noah a little week-on-week so perhaps the "old rules" #1 is in his sights after how close it was last week in the end. Teddy still increasing  he's the only one to be up every single day against last week, Benson was a little down on Friday and Noah was a little down on Saturday but both ahead the other days. Djo is up on Sunday last week but down on Friday and Saturday, and Beyoncé and Ariana are down every day against last week.

Physicals could possibly do it for her but i'm doubtful her team would bother given she already has the US #1.

Edited by Dotty New Year

I didn’t think 2 weeks ago Teddy Swims would be maintaining so well week on week, thought he would be acr by this Friday.
I did think quite early on that Lose Control is just the type of song to stream quite consistently for a while, even if it doesn't make it all the way to #1, so I'm not too surprised it keeps swerving ACR though I didn't expect it to be actively gaining at this point still!

I think Ariana's chance of #1 is probably gone now (its momentum stalled out disappointingly quickly, something something collapse) but ah well, should still have a pretty good chart run. I'm still in the hot take corner of thinking 'yes, and?' is the better song anyway (I do like 'we can't be friends (wait for your love)' but it kind of just gives me 'TRUSTFALL but not as good'), I'll just sit here and wait for people to realise that 'supernatural' should be the big hit from the album x

Will be interesting to see if Beyoncé's album can boost 'TEXAS HOLD 'EM' back to #1, don't think it's necessarily a given (and of course there's always the possibility that a different song from the album will catch on straight away instead).

:surejan:

I'll give you Supernatural is also one of the album highlights though.

Obsessed and Hozier added to HH yesterday

I think Ariana still could improve cos so far shes got moderate but not huge HH support

But that will prob arrive too late

I read Beyonce might have done a cover of Jolene for her album

If true thats going straight to @1 I reckon

Jolene (Cover - if true) will never go number 1, why would it? Another song will have a better and bigger impact in my opinion.

really? Jolene is a classic of classics, of course depends on many things, but I totally see it being huge
I think I read that it's a collab with Miley too which will obviously be a big talking point too.

The biggest rumour is X Gaga, if that happen and will be in some weird way a continuation to Telephone, that can explode.

Bey wrote it's not exclusively a country album.

Her stylist shared a photo of Gaga in Telephone video. The rumours are strong, and we'll find out in a few days anyway.

Yap, that's what I referred to, I think this can be huge.
