But nobody was talking about the quality of the era/album. It's literally about how successful it was, so when someone says it was an "under performance" in whatever context, makes no sense whatsoever and that's all Mango pointed out (because it didn't make sense).

How you feel about the album is obviously fine. You were clearly disappointed with it, but it still cannot be seen as an under performance in any which way (and doesn't make sense when talking about in in the context of the quality of the era).

I’m with you. :)

can we please not let that Guetta song be a hit

I don't usually like the idea of Guetta massacring old 90s hits (which he seems to now be doing with alarming regularity) but for some reason I'm really enjoying this one. I'm here for it smashing!

Yeah, it's very catchy. I think Ryan Tedder's vocals help a lot too, he sounds particularly great on the chorus.

Only one J Cole track(from the new EP) left in the top 200 though it slips out if the top 50
I saw the title of the David Guetta song and thought he'd done a new version of the Dawsons Creek theme tune!

wow another huge update for Hozier and again doing 250K more than Benson Boom.

really hope Hozier does the double and gets #1 also in the US, it would be just wrong since he's doing 2 million streams more than Benson every day, so Hozier is looking at 25 million streams on Spotify this week while Benson at 10-ish million, and still Benson could be #1 cos of airplay.

Spotify

 50. Tyla - Jump

Great to see this in the top 50! Is this the new single or is it 'Art'? Because 'Jump' seems to be doing better on Spotify yet 'Art' is top 100 on Apple.

Future & Metro Boomin are predicted to hold the #1 in the US this week still by quite decent a margain

It won't be No 1 in the US but looks quite likely he'll finally get a UK No 1 this week.

I mean next week not the one revealed yesterday

the only prediction I saw for next week had Benson at #1 tied with Future, and Hozier at #3 but very very very very close behind

but Benson is out of the race after how he dropped on Sunday

at least now HH has moved Hozier a bit, up to track #5

but beyond ridiculous they placed again Teddy Sims at #1 in their playlist

while Artemis is kept as track #50

Hozier is way behind on youtube and apple and radio play only a bit ahead on spotify don't see how it overtakes future this week

Oh interesting, thanks for the info! Hopefully both can become big!

That is an outdated prediction, there is a new one (for the same week) that has Future back in a fairly solid lead, Hozier up to #2 and Benson a way back at #3. It is trending in Hozier's direction though so he could very well get #1 the following week (unless he's blocked by a song from the second Future/Metro album of course lol).

edit: hey this was my 115,000th post xox

Hozier got in the bag this week?

Yeah he will get 1 by at least 3k sales

aside: maybe it's just me being out of touch with music in general (which tbf I have been x) but I don't feel like the general buzz is quite there for this new Taylor album in the same way as it was for 'Midnights', I honestly kind of kept forgetting it existed until the last couple of days. Although that might also just be because Future/Metro Boomin and then Beyoncé had big albums that distracted a bit from the incoming Taylor tsunami part 300 especially with her again keeping tight lipped on details about the album beyond the track titles, I'm sure she'll be unavoidable again when she has the spotlight back solely on her.

I also dont think things work how they used to. Before you needed a huge rollout and to blitz different countries and media. Now everything is on your phone. You can release an album with no notice in one day and everybody will find out instantly and you'll do a similar number to if you spent months hyping it

Kinda gagged by how well this new Chappell Roan song is doing - had no idea her hype had surpassed internet corners into actual chart success. Love the newie though, so very pleasantly surprised!
