#93 in Pitchfork's Top 100 Songs of 2024 and #5 on NME's Top 50 Songs of 2024.

How are the chances of this being nominated on the BRITs? It'd be a shame if it missed seeing how acclaimed it has been.

wish to emphasize here that US Apple Music is typically the weakest platform for pop artists like JADE in the US - hopefully this bodes really well for her Spotify numbers today!

Am I right in saying the BRITs voting academy determine the nominees and winners for Song of the Year? It used to be the case the 10 (or however many) biggest-selling British singles of the previous year were eligible and then the public voted for the winner but I think it has all changed now. Tbh that might go in JADE's favour considering how acclaimed AOMD has become but she'll also be competing with the likes of Charli and The Last Dinner Party.

I believe so. Especially if the album comes sooner rather than later! (and ofc if she does indeed get a BRITS performance...)
Do we think this stands any chance of going gold this year?

I think it's certainly possible. If it got certified silver at the beginning of October, assuming it's done a fair bit since then and it'll perhaps get a little boost when/if the album happens.

Brit nominations are out this Thursday

Reaaally hoping this can get a Best Single nom. Would be huge for her to get a nomination for her first single as a solo artist too :cheeseblock:

What are the chances of her getting a British Female nomination do we think? I swear they’ve nommed people with no albums before??
I’m sure they got rid of the gendered categories a few years back. It’s just ‘Artist of the Year’ now
I’m intrigued to know how Best Single noms/winner is chosen. It used to be the case the top 10 biggest-selling British songs are shortlisted and the public vote for the winner but I read somewhere a panel now decides? Not sure if that will help JADE’s chances or not.

Completely and utterly deserved!

Pop Act being fan voted is great to see too! Aaahhhh
