Drakw is an empty, talentless, fake vessel. His music won't be remembered. Kendrick, who has real artistry, will. His music will certainly be remembered, he's one of the greats of the genre. This was my initial take too, it was basically using boxing antics to boost interest. All the trash talking and 'beef' basically to generate even more sales.
May 10, 20241 yr I think there is actually a non-zero chance this beef could cause real harm to Drake going forward. I saw a tweet the other day saying Kendrick has seen a 50% increase in back catalogue streams in the week after the beef while Drake's have actually gone down a bit. Then again I really thought the same thing about Kanye's whole Alex Jones arc and he still managed to have his biggest hit single for years after that so it'll more likely just blow over and be forgotten about.
