I'm looking forward to the album, I think I might have liked a female feature though just to break things up or maybe it's just I'm craving another Martha wainwright moment with something like set the fire as there voices just worked brilliantly together.

Really strong album! Stand outs for me are ‘Everything’s Here And Nothing’s Lost’ and ‘Hold Me In The Fire’. I think ‘The Beginning’ is one of the weakest songs so I’m not sure why that was chosen as the lead single.
Lost and Hold Me In The Fire are my 2 faves so far but i need to listen to the album more as i havnt had the time to give it my full attention just yet.
Great to see them on 25k sales in todays updates adding just over 5.5 sales since the Monday update as i expected their sales to almost stop so they are doing well and will achieve their 2nd number 1 album although they are a band you feel had more number 1 albums than they actually have.

#1 with nearly 30K sold is amazing, great great result

the album is good, All is my favourite on it possibly

ohhh that disappointing missing #1 in Ireland

Ya it does feel they had more and idcsay most people assume final straw went number 1.

Great to see they have 3 albums that have all sold over a million each in the UK.

Final Straw was the biggest selling album of 2004 that didn’t go to no.1-I guess it was quite unlucky not to sneak a week. The album charts were amazing back then.

A Hundred Million Suns sold a lot in its first week off the back of Eyes Open but it came up against P!nk who’d been riding high on So What success.

Have to say I love this new album though. Really feels like they’re back, a well deserved no.1.

^yes that release date against Pink was nuts, Snow Patrol opened with 100K I think x A Hundred Million Suns and I think Pink did like 112K, but it's crazy to open with 100K and "only" be #2

and I cannot recall if I posted here or elsewhere but their last album Wildness was also a #2 losing by 1K to the fricking Greatest Showman soundtrack (40K vs 39K).

The Greatest Showman blocked so many albums from #1, it was so annoying at the time!

Big plummet as expected on week and same happened in Ireland.

It's a really strong album, needs a few listens to really get into it.
