Don’t know much about New Order

Think Clean Bandit are a bit high personally, love a bit of Texas

Tomorrow will see another 30 pointer exit and we'll see our first band drop out of the top 30 from the last rate.

New Order are fab: were in my draft votes but ended up being muscled out.

Clean Bandit were great right at the beginning and then became boring.

Bye bye Texas I love them. Unusually Red Book is my fave album of theirs!

Yes, Red Book is a great album! Personally though I just love listening to their first greatest hits - 'Black Eyed Boy' is surely one of the best pop songs ever written, it's so uplifting and feelgood

Big drops for New Order and Clean Bandit :o

I quite enjoy a bit of New Order and Clean Bandit were great for their first few singles but have gradually dissolved into blandness. 'Symphony' was the last song of theirs I properly loved.

Texas <3 one of my first musical loves, Sharleen is a class act and a captivating performer - she really has a lot of star quality.

They are still good too - recent singles Mr Haze and After All are up there with some of their old classics.

Only lost Gorillaz and Foo Fighters since I last checked so not bad going, both largely based on their 2000s work but they do still come up with a good recent gem every now and then.

Their Greatest Hits is utterly fab I agree and I love that song too.

Oh yeah, Mr Haze is a total bop - so much fun!

NO 77- EVERYTHING EVERYTHING ( 163)- 77 POINTS

oh lets fucking get it-!! :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana:

now i'm a wee bit more grateful for that strange moment when Cough Cough reached the top 40 bc not being able to vote for the GOAT band would've been an instant dealbreaker sorry xx

New Order are a really weird one for me.

I love Joy Division but just cannot get to feel anything much for New Order. Even the first album, which is broadly JD in style, doesn't excite me, and whilst I recognise and appreciate their importance and many great songs, pretty much everything they've done leaves me completely cold or I find slightly annoying and overrrated.

I've tried and tried, in fact I'm listening to my playlist of them right now, and I have many friends who've loved them for years but I just can't get in to them.

They should have tried Hooky on lead vocals instead, couldn’t have been much worse! Instrumentally though, they’re great IMO - best to leave the Joy Division comparisons to one side as much as possible.

BIGGEST HIT: THIS CHARMING MAN (#8, 1992)

The Smiths should be higher! Difficult to pick a single fave from them but love This Charming Man, Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now, Still Ill, What Difference Does It Make and How Soon Is Now. :cheeseblock:

Pink Floyd climbing a lot since last time!

I could easily have voted for all 3 of those - all brilliant acts. I guess Pink Floyd have so few singles that depending on whether you’re thinking singles when voting they might be left out. Keane are the kings of the soaring chorus.

Strange for Pink Floyd and Keane to have climbed so much from last time and for The Smiths to have dropped so much!

Pink Floyd and The Smiths are obviously both seminal bands and deserve their places in the top 100 even if I'm not massively into either of them (although 'Girlfriend In A Coma' is absolute genius )

I liked Keane's debut but lost interest pretty quickly after that.
