As I got a permission from Wardy, I'll try to start general discussions for some dance sub-genres.

 

Here's one for hard dance, that had their peak era in the charts from around the '90s to 2005 and also becomes one of the biggest dance sub-genres in the Netherlands.

We have had a little bit of a hard dance revival in Europe recently with Pedro and Europapa, pity neither will make the UK top 40 though.

Europapa is literally at 37 this week?

Oops I was wrong. Hopefully the success of 'Pedro' and 'Europapa' in Europe will lead to more hard dance chart hits.

 

Feels weird this topic not being in the dance forum though.

Talking about being popular, here are two most recent hardstyle songs that are apparently big in the Dutch radio:

 

Django Wagner - Kali (Outsiders Remix):

Original was a released in 2009 and peaked at #17 in the Dutch chart. The hardstyle remix appeared for a couple of weeks in the Spotify NL Top 200 and also gold-certificated.

 

Wildstylez ft. Niels Geusebroek - Year of Summer:

Thanks to a certain Voice NL contestant, the song becomes the biggest hardstyle song in Dutch mainstream radio.

The new Sefa album is out today! Sadly, the supposed Joost collaboration isn't in this album. :( Probably Sefa is still finding a way for an approval by Joost's management.

Adaro remixed BJSC entry Save You by Richard Durand & Christina Novelli. The remix is ok, but it's not as neat as The Air I Breathe (so yes, Adaro has remixed two Durand x Novelli songs so far).

 

Will Buzzjack approve this euphoric hardstyle rework of Porter's Language? :thinking:

 

Frequencerz released their remake of Thomas Bergersen's Heart of Courage, titled The Unknown, after premiering it 8 years ago.

So, I recently discovered this UK Hardcore album in my Release Radar playlist. I thought they were new songs, but actually made around 20 years ago! Pretty nostalgic IMO.
