Since it's Westlife month with no releases I decided to create an estimation of Westlife's Top singles in the UK just for fun for November 2022:

2 FLYING WITHOUT WINGS - 895,000

3 YOU RAISE ME UP - 860,000

4 I HAVE A DREAM/SEASONS IN THE SUN - 720,000

5 WORLD OF OUR OWN - 645,000

6 SWEAR IT AGAIN - 560,000

7 HELLO MY LOVE 540,000

8 AGAINST ALL ODDS - 530,000

10 WHAT ABOUT NOW - 500,000

11 WHAT MAKES A MAN - 485,000

12 QUEEN OF MY HEART - 465,000

13 MY LOVE - 440,000

14-17 WHEN YOU'RE LOOKING LIKE THAT - 325,000

20 BETTER MAN - 205,000

Below 200k and some of them close to it are:

I will dare to estimate total sales: ;)

Estimated total albums sold: 13,850,000

Estimated total singles sold: 14,350,000

Estimated singles and albums Total UK: 28,200,000

Disclaimer: This is only personal estimations and are done for fun. I hope to have some official update and evaluate how close I am.

The arena leg of the tour began yesterday.

The set list is exactly the same as the summer shows...

Why release a whole new album if you're only going to perform one song from it? I appreciate these are basically the delayed 2020 shows but still.

I honestly don't know why I hoped for anything different. Even if they are delayed shows from 2020, they only perform Hello My Love from the previous album which is also crazy. They had not one but two albums in the meantime and yet they make this into a greatest hits tour. Walsh is probably to blame, he is the one who is convinced fans only want the same old hits over and over again

I say old because its like they forgot they have other hits like Tonight, Obvious, I Lay My Love On You, Hey Whatever etc.

Just seen their Wembley Stadium show from the summer is gonna be on ITV1 tomorrow afternoon at 5:25pm!
No17 in itunes for greatest hits. I am wondering if that would be enough to appear in tomorrow’s update
Mark is ill, so yesterday's show went ahead without him.

They've actually changed the set-list slightly with this current leg of the tour.

Uptown Girl Platinum 2x Single

After 1 year and 5 months (17 months) Uptown Girls sells an extra 84k and becomes their first ever single to be certified Double Platinum.

That makes it 4.9k sales each month (over 1k per week)

Great achievement!

They've just announced their first ever US shows.
6 small shows sold out in canada and US, a total of around 25k people
Nice of them to care about the fans and release new music……oh wait, they just want to tour the same old to fill their pockets.
Yes, shame on an artist for wanting to tour for fans who have probably never had the chance to see them live before

I was about to say, that was an incredibly bizarre take.

I must say, it's remarkable that Westlife has huge following in the US. Thought they're only Europe and Asia popular.

I’d image it’s just loads of Irish and British people living in the USA going to the shows

You are incredibly negative whatever they do, sometimes I wonder if you are still their fan. Some fans have waited for years to see them live, they sure are awful to do this...

They released 2 albums in the last 4 years. If the fans did not make it a huge commercial success, what are you asking for? To pay for their own music? Its almost impossible for 90’s boybands to be sustainable today and Westlife did more than almost every other artist under the same category. I was a proud fan 20 years ago and still am. Thats how the business runs its not their fault everybody consumes ed sheeran and taylor swift
