6 9.56 Show Me Your Colours

Our highest placed non-single is fan favourite Show Me Your Colours. Track 2 on the Sunshine album, Show Me Your Colours is led by Rachel, and featured prominently in Hollywood 7, being performed twice over the series! Its most iconic performance was at the aeroplane graveyard where they secure Dean "the Machine" Strickland as their manager - a missed music video opportunity - but it gets another outing at an event their label put on to celebrate their record deal. Fans have been crying out for Show Me Your Colours to make their reunion tour setlists, but despite having no luck on that front, Rachel did recently perform the song as part of her Mighty Hoopla set, so there's hope that one day we may see a whole group performance of it!

5 9.83 S Club Party

There really ain't no party like an S Club party, and this song proves why! Introducing each of the seven members in the second verse, S Club Party was the perfect way to get to know what was, at the time, a pretty new pop group on the scene. S Club Party was the first proper song the group performed at the Florida Paradise Hotel in Miami 7, where they were having to work for the unforgiving Howard Borlotti, while in the real world, it served as the group's second single, unluckily missing out on giving them a second #1. The song's remained a staple of the band's setlists over the years and continued to feature throughout the TV show, simply through an "S Cluuuuub" sting being played whenever there was a scene change. In popular culture, it's one of their most recognisable songs, with memes going around every election season about voting for the S Club party, not to mention how S Club parties were unfortunately off the agenda during covid with a maximum of six people per bubble...!!!

4 9.89 Reach

Nearing that perfect 10 average, a certified modern classic departs us at #4. Reach was the theme tune to L.A. 7, but actually first got an airing in the television special Boyfriends & Birthdays in December 1999, when the group performed a slightly earlier version of the song. In reality, the song peaked at #2 and is their second biggest seller, undoubtedly one of their most recognisable hits. It has a special place in my heart for being the only single to have a proper solo from Paul too

3 9.94 Have You Ever

Second and third were tied, interesting! Losing out due to having fewer 10s than the song in second place is Have You Ever, the group's fourth and final UK #1 single. Released as the 2001 Children In Need single, Have You Ever features Jo on lead vocals, and was the second single from the Sunshine album, also serving as the closing credits song for Hollywood 7, during which it gets two performances.

Which song will come out on top - Don't Stop Movin' or Never Had a Dream Come True? :o

I would have preferred Have You Ever to be higher than Never Had A Dream Come True. Amazing average though!

2 9.94 Never Had a Dream Come True

Only just sneaking into 2nd place is the group's second #1 single and one of their biggest classics! Never Had a Dream Come True was the Children In Need single of 2000 and was taken from a re-issue of the band's '7' album, later also featuring on the Sunshine album in 2001. Complete with its iconic wintery video with the big white coats, Never Had a Dream Come True has become a staple of S Club's live sets, featuring in the encore of both reunion tour setlists, and was one of three songs to get a full performance during the Seeing Double movie.

1 10.44 Don't Stop Movin'

Of course, could it have been anything else? With one of the highest averages I've seen in any rate on the site, Don't Stop Movin' received a 10 or 11 from everyone who took part, with the exception of J00prstar! As we know, Don't Stop Movin' is one of the band's most beloved songs, peaking at #1 and returning to the top spot after a two week break. It led the Sunshine album (albeit 7 months before the album, and follow-up single, came out!), and received two Hollywood 7 performances, one from the band as they tried to impress the executives of a record label, and the other for a television show in the US. It was also performed in the first episode of Viva S Club, as the band show new manager Lyall and housekeeper Maria what they can do, as well as in the Seeing Double movie as the band break out of jail (!).
