August 23, 2024Aug 23 Death and Romance was absolutely everything. Vampire in the Corner was the only one that didn’t click in for me right away, until that last minute.
August 24, 2024Aug 24 This is something special. Unpredictable. Replay value is huge. Love the classic, instrument heavy, synthpop sound. Initial faves: Death & Romance, Image, Watching T.V., Cry for Me Great critic reviews so far, 87 on Metacritic https://www.metacritic.com/music/imaginal-disk/magdalena-bay
August 26, 2024Aug 26 Possibly a contender for album of the year? Not often you get such hit after hit of pure good synthpop. very much enjoying all of this.
January 26Jan 26 Just heard it for the first time and my highlights included, Death & Romance, Vampire in The Corner and That's My Floor but honestly all tracks are great and I loved the whole vibe from start to finish, great first album (well I presume it is unless I am wrong?) from them!

This is actually their sophomore album - Mercurial World is the debut! I forget if you were still regularly entering BJSC when 'Chaeri' was sent but that album contains it. Can't believe I never commented in this thread at the time but this album deserves all of the critical acclaim, such strong synth-pop <3 the villainous yet stunning 'Cry for Me' is my favourite.
