I love 'Good Luck, Babe!' but most of what I've heard from this album is not really for me, however I did finally hear 'Femininomenon' now and that one is a banger, appreciating it going in a more leftfield direction production wise. Hoping that I'll enjoy her music more in the future if 'Good Luck, Babe!' is anything to go by.

Did you like Naked in Manhattan and Pink Pony Club at least? :P They are the standouts for me.

likewise! ‘Naked in Manhattan’ is one of the best pop songs I’ve heard in some years, that bridge *_*

Every lyric is brilliant. The cicadas line. and all of the second verse especially the Lana/Mean Girls/Regina George references.

I do quite like 'Pink Pony Club' (was my 2nd favourite song from her before the other day x) but not that keen on 'Naked In Manhattan', admittedly been a while since I last heard it (I only know it from being in BJSC last year and not come back to it since) but I think I remember the chorus being quite annoying. Looking back I actually ranked it a little higher in BJSC than I thought, it just about avoided my bottom 10 lol ~ although that wasn't a particularly strong contest. It was the same contest The Last Dinner Party's 'Nothing Matters' was sent to and I did rank that behind 'Naked In Manhattan' for what it's worth

on the other hand when 'Red Wine Supernova' was also in BJSC last year I ranked it dead last and I fully stand by that, if anything I like it even less now oops, I feel like I must be about the only person who thinks that is her worst song so don't mind me

For all that the site loves her now her results in BJSC weren't really that impressive in retrospect, albeit two of her entries suffering from deductions. 'Pink Pony Club' DNQed due to a deduction, 'Red Wine Supernova' came 12th, 'Naked In Manhattan' came 20th and 'Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl' came 23rd (but would have been around 8th without a deduction). Maybe when I eventually get around to preparing the 2023 TBO (The Best of BJSC) she'll do very well in that since the latter 3 of those were all last year :kink:

Naked in Manhattan has really grown on me, i have liked it since i heard it but it has grown on me more and or some reason i always think of marina and the diamonds when i hear it.

My current condensed playlist is:

Femininomenon

Red Wine Supernova

Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl

Hot to Go

My Kink Is Karma

Pink Pony Club

Naked in Manhattan

All 11/10s

Where do we think this will head next week? Do we think the re-issue will help it get the number 1?

I think sure #1 for the album

it's already doing 7-8K on streams alone and with a new vinyl it will go >10K for sure

and most important, next week is a dead week (again) for albums, no big release that I can see

so basically no competition

Oh the vinyl is out, I forgot! Need to go buy !
I've never received so many social media ads and autoplay for an artist like I have with Chapell Roan. From excessive YouTube and Spotify home page recs to Instagram to TikTok to Tinder (!). I feel like I'm being forced to listen to her
Just checked international forum and Pink Pony Club is as high as 16 on US Spotify. Really praying it smashes!
