Official Charts Report

Fancy another one? Sabrina Carpenter takes the lead to score her second UK Number 1 single of the year with Please Please Please leapfrogging past Eminem’s Houdini (2) and Sabrina’s own Espresso (3) to claim Number 1 midweek.

Both of these tracks are former Number 1 singles; last week, Houdini became Eminem's longest-ever run at the top of the Official Singles Chart, while Espresso, the first chart-topper for Sabrina, held the top spot for five consecutive weeks.

Myles Smith’s breakthrough UK hit Stargazing could reach its highest peak yet – its predicted to rise one to Number 6 on Friday.

As The Eras Tour continues to make its way around the UK, the almighty Taylor Swift approaches a Top 10 re-entry with Fortnight ft. Post Malone (10), as Cruel Summer also continues to rise inside the Top 20 (13).

Can’t wait to see Please Please Please at the top! Best number one of the year!
I hope Cruel Summer gets a play tonight just to see the reaction on here !!!

2 hours 20 minutes until kick off in Gelsenkirchen

but much more important than that -

20 minutes to first look !!

Not around for First Look tonight so hosting duties are first come first served!

Same, listening to Capital's Summertime Ball. Hoping Houdini stays at no. 1.

Pete Allison and Polly Bayfield from Newsbeat sitting in for Lauren and Shanequa

Number 1 contenders -

Houdini - Eminem

Please Please Please - Sabrina Carpenter

Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter

Number 20 ( down 1 ) I Can Do It With A Broken Heart - Taylor Swift

Number 19 ( down 6 ) - Chihiro - Billie Eilish

Number 18 ( up 3 ) _ Beautiful Things - Benson Boone

Number 17 ( up 1 ) - Slow It Down - Benson Boone

Number 15 ( down 1 ) - Belong Together - Mark Ambor

Number 14 ( up 1 ) - Too SWeet - Hozier

NUmber 13 ( up 4 ) - Cruel Summer - Taylor Swift

I don’t get why her team are so obsessed with Cruel Summer. They could easily push another single from the album instead but at the same time, they’re more obsessed with keeping the album at #1 than pushing another single

"Her team" has nothing to do with it lol, it's just more popular than all her new songs apart from Fortnight.
