May 2May 2 Well Chelsea certainly have a much harder run-in on paper with Liverpool and Newcastle next but Forest have a super hard game against Palace next before 2 nicer matches and of course it could down to the last match where they play each other. But Villa is the team for them to be worried about, they play 2 teams with nothing to play for next (Fulham and Bournemouth) and then have Spurs and Man United who will both be 100% focussed on the Europe League final so they can easily get 12 points and leapfrog both Chelsea and Forest.

Could really see us slipping to defeat there or getting a draw. Don't Chelsea play Forest on the final day? Could be a winner takes all game.

May 7May 7 They’ve been unlucky but also bottlers plus he’s never got a decent striker and buying big clubs rejects is never a winning foundation

They’ve been poor this season. Last season they were on a really good run of form in 2024. They did well last season to keep pace with City. Not sure I agree with not buying big clubs rejects either.. Salah and KDB have probably been the best two players over the last 6-7 years!

They splashed the cash on Jesus and that Ukrainian LB when they needed to transform into a dominant team. How are you going to beat Man City with Man City rejects? Just seems flawed to me. Those two you mentioned are very different situations.

Those two you mentioned are very different situations. It was 2023-2024 where they signed big. Zinchenko was a massive player for them and Jesus is really good. Those players were signed to bring them to the next level, it was summer 2023 where they signed Timber, Rice, Havertz where they kicked on and did a good job. Problem was this season they strengthen bizarrely in areas they were already fairly strong.

May 7May 7 Jesus has been absolutely terrible at Arsenal. Zinchenko had a good spell but is absolutely washed now, can't even get in the team anymore. Havertz has done better than I thought but you're not winning the league with him as your main striker. Rice has been the only massively successful signing imo.Even Odegaard has been dreadful this season, hasn't looked the same player since that injury...

The issue is the output of the wingers is not strong enough. It's why I think Arsenal will struggle a bit if they go all out for a traditional #9. You lose a lot of control.Arsenal have regressed this season. They recruited strangely in the summer and Odegaard has been terrible since the injury as Dobbo states. Much like Saka, I suspect they were rushed back at the earliest available opportunity.
May 9May 9 Hilarious that like, I don’t get the flak he’s getting for his teams play though as he’s undoubtedly improved Arsenal compared to before he arrived.

Obviously we wanted us last year and he turned us down as he got cold feet and didn't want to leave home. I think he'll get a hard time at Anfield next season.Think it will all in whether he settles in England or not to be honest. But yeah good to see Arsenal spending money on a defensive midfielder!
May 10May 10 He should fit into Arsenal’s style. Rice, Zubimendi, Merino is quite a good midfield tbh. Southampton avoided being the worst prem team ever by getting a point against Man City who looked rubbish again now Haaland was back.
