July 18, 2024Jul 18 I hate the song but it's Espresso hands down. Shame nothing better has come out recently.
July 18, 2024Jul 18 I personally haven't heard Not Like Us a single time outside of listening to the chart show. Didn't know it was a US #1 though so certainly over there that's a fair shout. Same here.
July 18, 2024Jul 18 never ever heard the kendrick song in public i'd also argue Espresso has been the song of the spring rather than than the song of the summer, summer barely started 1 month ago, hopefully something else becomes the song of the summer
July 19, 2024Jul 19 I personally haven't heard Not Like Us a single time outside of listening to the chart show. Didn't know it was a US #1 though so certainly over there that's a fair shout. neither have I! I couldn't even tell you how it goes aside from 'they not like us' lol the songs I've heard most in the past few weeks are 'Espresso', 'Please Please Please', 'Good Luck, Babe!', and '360'.
July 19, 2024Jul 19 I don't usually catch current hits out in the wild. "Beautiful Things" is the biggest hit of the year over here and I wouldn't know it exists if I didn't read the charts. With that in mind, Kendrick's stuff feels like it's making the most impact in my closed circle.
September 5, 2024Sep 5 Author subjectively - Calvin x Ellie new song could very well be it It wasn't in the end. Most people in this thread named Espresso as their song of the summer, but given the other releases since this thread was made, would that still go down as the song people most associate with Summer 2024?
September 5, 2024Sep 5 'Espresso' came out in April so if we're talking about song of the summer I'd be leaning more towards 'Please Please Please'.
September 5, 2024Sep 5 lol @ the Calvin + Ellie suggestion. I think 'Espresso' has been utterly inescapable and it's primed for summer in its sound, so it's definitely that.
September 5, 2024Sep 5 Definitely Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter. Absolutely love Good Luck, Babe
