Really liking this so far, it's delivering just what I hoped it would - thought-provoking and well paced with fleshed out character at the core, just what RTD delivers at his best. I hope it keeps this momentum going!

I don't think they need John Barrowman for Torchwood if they can rope Eve Myles back in. Call Freema Agyeman and Mandip Gill and hire a couple of newbies and you've got a fantastic cast - would love t

Even someone like Ruby could slot into torchwood, but yeah I agree

Yeah really liking this so far, episode 2 was really good! Russel is brilliant

Russels always good in everything he does i dont know how he does it, i do get the Mrs Bingham criticism but i guess that because its a different setting to the unit we have known so far, I like how its so on the nose with whats going on in the world right now, maybe it will open some eyes as well

Episode 3 in particular WOW like glued to the telly level of perfection...ep 4 so good as well. Loving this spin off so much.

Episode 3 was great but episode 4 was mind-blowing i just hope they don't f*** up with episode 5 and ruin everything hopefully they don't rush to tie everything up

If only they'd been willing to air it weekly instead of rushing it out in these last few weeks of the year that cliffhanger at the end of episode 3 would have had everybody screaming for the whole week! By far the highlight of the series so far and I'm so happy they gave us those glorious visuals of the Sea Devils' world. At least the Disney budget wasn't completely wasted kink

Episode 4 was great too, but could have done without those scenes between Salt and Barclay. I think you can develop their relationship and explain away the tie that binds them without having to go there. Other than that, this is such a brilliant series. Can't wait to see how it all ends on Sunday!

I think part of the problem is they wanted to rush it all out before Christmas but they could of easily started 2 weeks earlier , 1 a week , I do agree a week between 3 and 4 would of sold that cliffhanger more

Well I didnt hate it, but it was definitely the weakest of the 5 episodes, like some of those solutions just came out of nowhere

I think overall I'm pretty satisfied with how this ended. They wrapped everything up that they needed to and the end sequence between Salt and Barclay, the soundtrack, it was all beautiful. And that final scene with Kate lmao... she has become 100x more iconic through this spin-off kink! I just hope that if she is brought back into the main show any time soon that the dark path they've taken her down with this isn't just forgotten because this was a triumph for Jemma Redgrave.

A behind the scenes episode is to be released on YouTube this Sunday 15th February similar to doctor who confidential

(Not sure what time seen it on the latest whocultire video)

I never commented on this - I thought it was better than I expected, very, very on the nose but I thought the political drama set up at the start was effective and right up until episode 3, I was actually very intrigued where it was going, Russell Tovey was a really good lead as well. Sadly, I really could not get on board when it went all Shape of Water, it just completely lost any tension it was building and while I do commend the very dark ending, it felt a bit like it happened too quickly. I appreciate the development they gave Kate as well and credit to the actress as her dealing with grief was really well done, I just wish they'd established her partner more as I literally barely recall him appearing prior.

Much better ratings than I expected as well, better than the main show!
