Apparently one of the main storylines about the finale is to do with a big developer looking to demolish the street, i really hope thats not true as i hate storylines like these in any of the soaps as you know it never happens in the end.

There isnt much build up to the end this time, i dont mean publicly as i know they would never have the appeal the last ending had but from the show itself the storylines arent showing any hint of how things will wrap up.

I’m really getting that feeling too.

It feeling like it may end with a lot still up in the air. On a bit of a whimper even.

Saying that though the finale in 2022 was as close to perfection as you can get.

Sure the last week is the W/B 8th December... (sure I read it somewhere) So I guess the last ep would be 11th December?

Yes, that's as far as the episode list goes up to on Amazon. Hopefully something (anything?) interesting and gripping will happen to close out the show in the next month. Maybe there will be lots of s

  • There really isn’t enough going on that interests me. It’s probably for the best that it’s ending at this point. I’m watching the classic episodes on YouTube and I’m up to 1987, it’s much better in s

Maybe it's ok that some things are up in the air, to give the impression that life goes on, even if the cameras stop rolling. Presumably Andrew and Holly's affair is exposed and that will be the end of their marriage, something or other will happen with the Linwells, no idea what else.

The sad thing is that I don't really care how any of the current storylines wrap up, whereas I was very invested in it three years ago. The 2022 finale was indeed wonderful, one of the best wrap ups I can remember for any show as there was a lot of fan service and nostalgia but it felt very warm and there was still a look to the future and younger cast too.

Had pretty much completely forgotten about Remi and Dex until they came back in today’s episode. It doesn’t look like they’ll be around for too long either.

That finale was faultless for me it just captured everything and covered so much ground from the shows history, even the whole lead up to the last episode was great and you were left excited for each episode which i know they could never repeat a 2nd time round but with how things stand i dont see how they can wrap up much, and storylines are sure to be left up in the air, the andrew affair storyline outcome is going to be so rushed at this point.

The affair will come out soon but obviously the outcome of Holly’s pregnancy will be left in the air. I do wonder if they’d attempt to rush a Andrew/Wendy reunion afterwards but with only around 20 episodes left I can’t see it

The Linwell brothers and I’m guessing this Freeway development will get wrapped up. Sue Parker is clearly going to be a villain in it. I’d like to see Remi get her memory back before the end but I’m not sure.

The Krista/Leo/Nicolette thing will also be unfinished but that’s about it I think. The Addison stuff is as good as sorted, Colton and Zac have gotten together.

I guess it gives the idea of life still going on. They couldn’t repeat the finale from last time but it’s also just not that interesting at all. It’ll definitely go out with a whimper.

Im half thinking will they do a fast forward episode at the end something like 12 months, a but like how they started the show up when it returned.

I know Karl is Holly’s father but I just can’t take him seriously in this Holly/Andrew storyline, his stance towards Andrew.

Karl was a doctor when he cheated on Susan multiple times, so to bring up Andrew being a policeman is a bit rich.

The reveal episode was excellent i have to say, its probably the best episode by far since it returned, Karl is definitely a hypocrite after his past but credit where its due they done a good job on the reveal and shows thats the show can still deliver.

Agree! One of if it the best episode or two since its been back.

I think the reveal even as we moved forward is still been done very well and is really helping us get good episodes as the show wraps up.

There is more chemistry with Holly and Andrew since the reveal than when they were actually having an affair.

I’m torn on yesterday’s ending. On one hand I found Sue Parker laughing at the end cruel, but on the other hand I did have a small chuckle.

One hour finale in Australia on Thursday 11th December at 8:40pm. It won’t be on Wednesday that week so it can finish as the hour long finale.

I wonder will Amazon do the same or RTE here in Ireland where it airs, i honestly dont know what to expect from the final episode this time around so im going in with low expectations.

I’ve got low expectations too. The list of returning characters is ok, nothing like 3 years ago. Though that’s understandable to be fair.

I found Sue Parker laughing absolutely hilarious! I love Sue, I know she’s always been an antagonist dating way back to the 80s but they’re all pretty horrible to her too so it was nice for her to witness their shock there. No doubt she’ll get hers before the end but I loved her getting that moment.

I can’t be bothered with Andrew/Holly and their negative chemistry. Poor Wendy isn’t even getting the chance to go properly mad.
