BBC Radio 1 Most Played 2025 2026 has arrived and get what else has come with it? You guessed it! The annual review of the most played songs and artists on BBC Radio 1 during 2025. As usual, I used

  • For anybody interested, the Official Chart of the Year will be happening this year on Boxing Day from 2-6pm. It is with Dan Draper this year who I think is a new name to the chart.

  • I wonder if there may be a popular website consisting of some kind of engine that you can use to search and find the answer to that x

Yes, it's changing every month so they'll be someone else new in November.

@lewistgreen Just to let you know that there’s a whole load of new R1 Anthems episodes beginning on Monday so hopefully the station will start to feel less stale from next week!

Looks like, for now and for the first time, the Anthems shows are going out first on the Anthems stream. Every day this week is 4 new 2 hour Anthems blocks!

Will be good to hear new shows from Lauren Redfern and Chelsea Little, not Luke Carr though as his stint on Weekend Early Breakfast this month was very boring. Every link was "that was Artist - Song on BBC Radio 1, now it's Artist - Song on BBC Radio 1".

Luke's currently doing the Anthems show that's going out on the stream right now and he's not doing a bad job, he's talking more about the music. I find with Weekend Early Breakfast they're not able to do anything as they have 1 hour to play songs leading to nothing else being able to happen.

Maybe I'll give him another go

New episodes of Pop Anthems starting 16th October, no idea who the presenter is yet. I would assume Maia?

WE ALL CHEERED IN UNISON cheeseblock

Feels like Going Home should just be renamed Katie and Friends now for at least a little bit of consistency.

Nonetheless, I have been getting back into R1 and R2 a lot over the past few days, Spotifying just ain't the same and gets lonely.

The Good Groove is filling in gaps in my R&B/soul/disco knowledge I never knew I had too.

There is no need to pick a side when it comes to R1 and R2, flick between the two and you can have the best of both worlds, with R1 Anthems filling the void with slightly edgier but ageing things that the latter isn't ready for yet.

Also great to hear Suggs on the former for presumably the first time since 1999 with his soon-to-be iconic collaboration, Track!*

*Pain in the ass editing this every time I play it but the personal chart must be accurate!

Been watching Celebrity Traitors and was reminded of that five minutes of when Maya Jama was the future of Radio 1 and they crowbarred her into Scott and Chris' show and it was totes awks.

But at least she was live!

They never seem to learn when it comes to influencers and YouTubers.

The listeners hate it and their followers don't all flock to R1 in droves either.

IT DOESN'T WORK!

Did Radio 1 mean to play Clementine Douglas - Trust at 13:24 then play Sonny Fodera, MK & Clementine Douglas - Asking at 13:35 or did they not realise Clementine sings both of those tracks?

Reminds me of hearing Post Malone followed by someone featuring Post Malone ten mins later a few years back!

At least it's not Crapital where they play the same songs twice in the same show then just pretend the first time didn't happen.
