It will flop, they are not ABBA and need to stop thinking they are!

  • It's such a bad bad idea... And this was clearly planted by Simon and his team to see if there is any traction to it. Ive had a look and all comments everywhere seem very negative, so that should be a

It's a horrible idea at this point, it's simply far too early. By all means think about doing it in 2046... but not now!! They're only in their early 50s (or 49 x), there's really no valid excuses for

We all know it is a 'Happy birthday' and pics of kids kind of group.

Can you imagine Mel B daring to bring up performing, Victoria would be removing herself instantly.

All of this free publicity and they still can't get their arse to do anything

I still think they shoulda split in 2001/2 after a tour, maybe even longer with keeping their solo careers going well at the same time, and came back somewhere between 2008-2012, but this rime with no dancing. This time they'd play instruments. During the split, they'd all leaen an instrument - Mel C, guitar, VB and Emma, maybe piano or bass guitar or drums, Mel B bass guitar or drums, Geri guitar, ans composed their own melodies. They would have broken the mould yet again, and they were the ONLY girl band capable of doin the change and getting massive press and relevance for doing so.

The Girls Aloud fanbase is very happy today with the 3 previously unheard unreleased tracks that they've included on a reissue. As a fan, it really feels like a gift and a thank you. Having listened to them, I don't think they're demo quality - I have a feeling that the tracks have possibly been revisited in recent times, to have the production tidied up to make them suitable for release. If that's true then it's completely fine by me because it makes more listenable than demos, which I tend to find end up being an "ooh, interesting to hear this... but this isn't going on repeat" sort of experience.

How the Girls Aloud reissue has been handled really makes me think how much of a home run the Spice and Spiceworld reissues could have been, content-wise. It'll always be unbelievable that we only got one previously unheard song... and the impact of that was kind of wasted by being included on Wannabe 25 some months in advance of the album. I mean, we know there's many unheard tracks from both album sessions, and they really couldn't agree to include more than one across two albums? -_-

P.S. One of the Girls Aloud tracks is 'Wicked Game', which in Girls Aloud lore was essentially their own Spice Girls - 'Woman', in that it was a song that was known about but wasn't released. There was a 19 year wait for that. We're approaching 25 years since 'Woman'. Granted we haven't had a 'Forever' reissue which in theory is where it should fit, but I still fear that they won't bother with a Forever 25 and still withhold Woman...

Yeah it seems the clear issue with the Spice Girls' own releases is that the group itself don't want to release any more. They have control over what gets released, whereas Girls Aloud probably don't?... Sugababes and Girls Aloud are showing how to do proper re-releases, though, that's for sure.

I also don't think much will happen with Forever, although I can see it being quite successful if they do it right with unreleased tracks and a nice packaging. But I've lost all faith to be honest.

the group itself don't want to release any more.

There is no 'group' per se. There are five individual girls / women that have their own opinions and wishes. All of them need to agree on something in order for it to materialise and happen. A majority vote is not enough. It takes just one of them to block a release.

Well all their music is Universal and they have pulled all music from Tiktok so it wont be any time soon. 90% of the videos on the Spice Girls tiktok are muted because of this.
Will strain of sexts storm force Geri to quit Spice Girls tour? Girlband reunion in question as it is revealed Ginger Spice will NOT commit to the project

...

Indeed, for some months, concerts have been in the planning stages to celebrate three decades of the group - albeit minus Victoria Beckham, who says she will never sing with the band again.

...

However, we can reveal that, far from the much-touted Spice Girls' reunion being imminent, Geri has not and - sources say - now will not commit to the project.

...

A close associate of the band tells me that she is struggling with the circus that has enveloped her family. Put bluntly, she is not fit for high-profile performances in front of tens of thousands of people for the foreseeable future.

...

That associate tells me: 'There were more live shows being discussed amongst the girls for some time. It all looked very hopeful, even though Victoria was not going to be involved.

...

'The girls had wanted to mark the anniversary with something super special. Now it could end up not happening at all. Geri clearly wants to live a low profile existence for the foreseeable.'

The rrason she won't commit is that she has quit and wantd to be Shakepseare and landed géntry. She is embarrassed about bein Ginger Spice.
Imagine Victoria jumps on a new tour now that Geri doesn't want to do it  we'll get the forever tour that we all wanted to happen  :cheer:

At this point, I’m just impatiently waiting for the MEM era to begin.

If Take That can do it, so can Spice Girls.

They would still have all their strongest vocalists.
