A 5 piece reunion tour will not happen, sadly.

But in an alternative reality, a 5-piece reunion could sell out a worldwide stadium tour with stops in Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, South Africa, Barcelona, Berlin, Paris, a few USA/Canada cities before returning to the UK and do a month-long residency at Wembley... I know I am being extra, but honestly think about it... keep the prices similar to the 2019 tour and they could easily have the biggest tour of the year, easily...

In 2019, they had the demand to sell out Wembley way more dates than what they did. Hell, had Mel C not had her solo tour to go to, they could have done a few more dates there are take on Take That's record of 8 dates at Wembley. I could see them do like 10 dates at Wembley easily with a 5-piece!

It's a horrible idea at this point, it's simply far too early. By all means think about doing it in 2046... but not now!! They're only in their early 50s (or 49 x), there's really no valid excuses for

Another nostalgia tour with the same songs does not excite me honestly. I would have preferred an album with demos and rarities for example.

But we can have both 🙃 and that would be the most ideal scenario under the current circumstances!

Now the story is that a 4 piece reunion will be managed by Simon Fuller, and that the girls haven't even asked Victoria if she'd like to take part - they assume she won't, because things between the Beckhams and Fuller is a "no love lost" situation.

Maybe something else to take with a pinch of salt...

Definitely always with a pinch of salt although these new stories - about Simon and Geri meeting up, about the 4 of them meeting in Miami this week (Geri is there and Mel C is currently in LA, Emma is somewhere on a holiday (lol) and Mel B is back and forth between UK-USA) - seem more like planted stories by their marketing team to drum up interest in a tour. Either to pressure Geri or to get tour bookers/promoters to offer them deals.

It is usually how it goes... Lets see...

If they go on tour, I hope it is somewhat different from 2019. No more massive globe (it was too big), and I would like them to get rid of Do It and Lady is a Vamp, as well as the We Are Family cover. Instead, they should do a Step To Me/Move Over mix, as well as If You Wanna Have Some Fun and another Forever track to even things out! That would be perfect!

During the rehearsals for the 2019 tour, there were rumours of a Something Kinda Funny/Saturday Night Divas mix, which I think could really work as well. Hell, I wouldnt even be against them doing a bit of Headlines as an intro to a new section, or something like that.

Just have fun with it! They will do the obvious hits and start with Spice Up Your Life as per usual, and end with Wannabe as per usual too lol so might has well have fun in between those two

I’d welcome them performing anything first over Spice Up Your Life! Mix it up a bit, ladies…

Imagine how caught off guard and immediately energetic the crowd would be if they started with Wannabe? They could still do it again as a reprise in the encore too. Considering it’s their biggest song, it does feel like it’s over with in a flash on their tours.

I totally agree, it would be such a statement to open with it specially for its 30th anniversary!

OR,... what if they opened with Viva Forever!? Imagine a long beautiful build up of that music leading to a gorgeous serene opening before it all kicks off with a big banger afterwards like WDYTYA, SUYL or NGUOTGT!!!!

The Girls Aloud show opening with Untouchable shows it doesn't always have to be a banger, same for opening with If you can't dance

There's a story from 12 May, reporting that one reason and motivation for a 30th anniversary reunion world tour next year, is because the manager Simon Fuller has an expensive divorce payout of AUD$400 million.

As is likely known, the Beckham's cut ties with Fuller and that would be another reason for Victoria to not get involved.

All of them would benefit massively from this. If Fuller also needs a hefty load of cash, this would be an obvious cash cow to go after.

Geri would also get the incentive of getting extra millions so she can co-fund her movie or whatever lol

Victoria didn't fall out with Simon Fuller though, they just parted ways as far as I remember, in 2020 as she wanted a management team that was more focused on fashion only. And she is technically still a director and part of the Spice Girls Ltd company to this day too, so she will always benefit.

Seems like things are picking up stream with the Netflix drama about the Spice Girls. The Sun is reporting they seemingly have signed on the UK's most sought after screen-writer Jack Rooke to get the script going. That's massive news, Jack is a well regarded person and writer overall!

hope it does go ahead, the article also seems very positive about a world tour for next year. Apparently the 2019 tour made £40million in profit, which is great after everything has been paid for, that's great extra money they pocketed.

Let's hope things move ahead. The article is pasted below, but I aint linking to that fascist rag:

SPICE IS RIGHT….ON TRACK Huge boost for Netflix’s troubled Spice Girls drama as streamer makes major backstage signing

NETFLIX’S drama about the Spice Girls is back on track after the streaming giant signed one of Britain’s biggest TV writers to create a pilot. The troubled project has struggled to get off the ground after the bandmates were at daggers drawn through much of 2024.

But with the prospect of a multi-million-pound world tour next year, they seemed to have magically smoothed things over. Now I can reveal that Jack Rooke, the comedian and creator of hit Channel 4 comedy Big Boys, is writing the script for the drama which next year will celebrate three decades since the group’s debut single, Wannabe.

A TV insider said: “Bagging Jack is a real coup for the project and might be the crucial element that drives the drama forward after its rocky start. “He already has a relationship with Mel C, who’s a huge fan of his comedy Big Boys, and that could be the pivotal connection that takes things on to the next stage. Of course, Netflix has yet to confirm it has commissioned the show and there’s still a lot to play for. But there now seems to be a genuine will to make things happen.

“No matter what Jack comes up with, it will be a loving and funny look at the band he grew up listening to in the Nineties and Noughties.” Since Big Boys launched three years ago, Jack has been nominated for a string of awards for the show and last year scooped a Bafta.

He is now one of Britain’s most sought-after writers, with industry insiders speculating over what project he would take on since his semi-autobiographical comedy had its third and final outing this year. Last month he confirmed he was working on a pilot for Netflix adding it would have “some of the hallmarks of Big Boys, while perhaps leaning more on the drama-comedy”.

I mean if it is true and that's a BIG if! Then Jack is an excellent choice, Big Boys was one of the best shows I've ever watched and he clearly loves the girls! PERFECT choice.

I have old cd singles of the Spicy Girls, but I think I'm gonna get rid. They take up too much space I don't have. Like, dvd singles of Vixtoria Beckham,.etc. would any collector want them y'all think, like if they paid for postage, or should I just give them to a charity shop?

You could try and sell them on Spice Marketplace on Facebook
