To be fair, some of Mel B's jibes at Geri in recent years have sounded more like mockery than friendly banters.

As for the accusations against Geri's husband, why cry more than the bereaved? If someone has been cheated on in a relationship, only they can decide how to manage the situation, and not outsiders.

Mel B chose to go on Piers Morgan's show. She also chose to answer THAT question without a gun pointing at her head. I suspect that things never got back to normal after that interview - even though the tour went ahead and Mel was invited to an F1 racing event.

I like Mel B for so many reasons (including that she seems to be the Spice Girls' biggest fan), but it seems every falling out in the group involves her.

Mel B is also of course to blame, and she should be a bit gentler to Geri for sure.

I was kind of shocked when she went on stage for the Q&A in 2024 for her book and said what she said 'about that man' and that she layed it out so clearly that they weren't speaking back then... She seems to have soften how she speaks about Geri since, at least publicly, so maybe some words were had behind the scenes.

I totally get this, and I do think that the last year or so have been so damaging because they had of course fallen out, and Geri focusing on Rosie Frost kind of damped everything for the group as well. I get that she would have been pissed off about Mel B talking about her in such terms in public, and for not supporting her during her marriage crisis.

But what I wanted to point out is that people blame their fallen out on the Piers Morgan thing, which I don't think is true or at least the whole story, because they clearly made ammends back then. That was clear on tour and afterwards too. It was the last year or so since Rosie and the cheating scandal that seems to have really drove them apart.

If anything, the Piers Morgan thing did more damage to Geri because Geri was such a prude about it, and her statement was borderline homophobic to be honest with you.

Well, Geri showed up at the F1 event thing today so really she dgaf about yesterday lol.

yeah that is quite a clear message... I was shocked that not only she didn't even say anything (not even a post online as Mel C and Victoria) but not even her own mum go to the wedding. Ana Maria was the only Spice mum to not attend either... We know the Spice mums are all close, even when Mel B wasn't speaking with her own mum, she was still hanging out with the rest of the Spice mums...

Spice Girls 'turn down' huge Louis Theroux BBC girl band documentary

Following the success of Louis Theroux's series called Boybands Forever, the journalist is planning a girl group version, but one iconic group has reportedly shunned his approach

Louis Theroux is used to interviewing the best in the business. However, one band has reportedly shunned his advances to tell their story.

The popular journalist is creating a new bombshell BBC documentary on girlbands following on from last year's successful production of Boybands Forever. It's thought Louis had seen the iconic band as being instrumental in any production.

However, a TV insider has claimed that the quintet - made up of Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Melanie Brown MBE and Geri Horner - aren't prepared to bare all just yet. While last year's boyband version saw Robbie Williams open up on his turbulent time in Take That, the source says the Girl Power group aren't looking to follow suit.

Talking to the Sun, a source said: "The difference is that the Spice Girls are fast approaching 30 years since the release of their debut single Wannabe and have a string of projects in the pipeline.

"Many of the issues that Robbie brought up on Boybands Forever were wholly justifiable, and most viewers sympathised with his situation when he was in Take That. But none of the Spice Girls want to do the same, and they feel it wouldn’t be fair on their loyal fans to spoil the magic of Girl Power so close to their anniversary year. They want 2026 to be a moment when they celebrate the group’s achievements.”

Let's hope this is true then...😅

Oh! Here's hoping that's true... and it's not just a 30th anniversary Wannabe t-shirt x

you'll probably get at least 30 of those as well, don't worry!

Sorry but her comment being borderline homophobic is ridiculous.

Mel B herself has said about how insulting and cheap it was when exes sold stories for money, which is essentially what she did with Geri on Piers Morgan. It's one thing for Geri and Mel B to say they have had lesbian experiences, it's another thing to actually name who it is. It was clearly something both agreed not to share so Geri has every right to be annoyed or upset with Mel for doing so, and she is in a different place in her life where her teenage daughter will read and hear about things. She likely wouldn't want her daughter hearing about any sex she had with men just as much as with women.

It was obviously not too much of a big deal as they seemed to get along fine on tour and even after. It's likely her comments about her husband is the straw that broke the camels back and to be fair why shouldn't it? I'd be damn pissed off if anyone made comments about my relationship choices like Mel did. She never once commented about David when he cheated, none of the girls did and I bet Victoria would have gone apeshit if they did.

I adore Mel B, she is in many ways the ultimate Spice Girl, however it's no coincidence that pretty much every fall out seems to include her. We know it's very likely one of the reasons Geri left was due to finding it difficult in the band with her (and her own ego too of course), that both Mels have admitted Mel B bullied her quite horrendously in the early days and was very difficult with her in the group, that Victoria has said she was originally somewhat intimidated by her. Mel herself admitted herself that her way of dealing with fame was to lash out at people, I see no evidence it has changed over the years.

Pauline also didn't attend both Melanie C's and Victoria's did.

Pauline was probably babysitting Tate as both of them didnt go. Emma likes to keep Tate out of the limelight due to the awful terf shit taking over the UK (she has been threatned online by terfs recently!)

I love you but there is a lot of whataboutism here... The comment from Mel was out of line, of course. But again, they made it up. Everything else after that is pure speculation from us.

What isn't speculation is Geri's statement's intent, which yes it is drenched with 'I'm a lady of the mannor and a mother now, I don't appreciate being seen as a gay' type of comment. It's plain old school homophobia...

this is what the statement said (I have highlighted the homophobia parts):

"It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day of all days. Geri is really grateful for your support and loyalty for so many years. She loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria. She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family."

The first part showcases her as a 'Mother' on 'Mothers Day' as if to imply that this simply is a contradiction to her supposedly gay affair (one she had proudly admitted to before she got in this relationship with Christian!).

She then goes on to state that it isn't true, and that it is 'hurtful to her family' I'm sorry wtf... This is Geri Halliwell saying that her family is upset about a past gay fling? So family stands again in opposition to a gay hook up.

Even if she didn't mean to denigrade gay people - we know she has consistently been pro-LGBT at least - she does so by framing it as a family situation that is hurted by the comentary on her having a gay fling. It is classic trops of homophobia. This is in the context of her starting to appear in public as a 'posh version' of what we knew of her.

It is what it is. She has become a 'Briton first' and 'Family first' type of person, by her own admission. It doesn't make her, at least from what we know, an outright bigot or anti-LGBTQ, but she did make it clear that she was not to be seen as a woman who could have had a past where she did 'the gay thing'. And that was very clear with this statement. It is one of the reasons why people were so upset with her statement.

Mel B herself has said questionable things. During 2018-2019 she said she liked boys and girls. Only to now say 'I used to be a lesbian but now I am not, I'm married to a man'. That's f***ing biphobic too lol I think both of them are just quite old school in these issues and probably don't mean any actual harm.

But it doesn't mean they weren't wrong or ill intended.

At no point does she say that it being a gay fling is hurtful, she says that the words are hurtful. She said the same thing about Robbie Williams when he said he slept with her and also denied that he did, and that wasn't considered to be an issue. You are doing a lot of whataboutism yourself assuming that it's because it's a lesbian fling rather than a fling whatsoever. Geri has actually always been very private about her relationships, she doesn't really talk about the people she dates and never has done. Yes she does the whole media thing but she has always been very reluctant to speak out.

Are you serious? Don't you understand the correlation between her statement and the context of where it sits in? Like, it's fine, it is what it is, but to portray it in such a way is diminishing very real old school homophobia there. It isn't the same as the Robbie Williams situation (and he was asshole too for saying what he said and has apologized often for it - something that Mel is yet to do).

Also, Geri has only ever been 'reluctant' to speak out or at least to be upfront about her relationship with sex since Christian came into the picture. It is also the first time she has a very public relationship with someone super famous too. Let us not forget this is the woman who championed sex-positive campaigns, her whole persona for a long time was that of the 'femme fatale', has documentaries where she talks about sex and her use of sex toys, and often talked about her sexuality in public including flings with women.

It's ok that Geri chose to be more private and more family oriented in recent years. No-one is saying otherwise, and she is within her rights to say she didn't want to be talked about, or her sex life or whatever else she might not like. Mel B was absolutely in the wrong then, and they made up.

How realistic do you think they will come together and make 2026 tour happen? Because at this point, it doesn't look like it. Who can the three of them convince to join the tour for the last hurrah, Geri or Victoria? I'd prefer Victoria (as I already went to 2019 tour) but I'd know she doesn't want to unless she wants to show her daughter how awesome a popstar mummy used to be.

I mean we are going to have to agree to disagree, I don't think there is anything in there that suggests it is to do with it being a lesbian affair rather than the fact someone is selling a sex story about her which is obviously not nice for her family, male or female.

As you said though that clearly is not the issue, it seems the issue is Mel B talking about her husband and the allegations, which, yet again, she is in the wrong for doing. You can guarantee Victoria would cut her off faster than you can say Posh Spice if she had spoken out about David.

Not to be shady to Geri but I have to admit I would find it so interesting for the non-Geri line up to exist again. As far as I'm aware we've never seen that combination of 4 since 2000?

same. I LOVED the original 4-piece and would love them to do something again if Geri doesn't want to.

Personally, I find that with Geri it would be more about the nostalgia whereas if the original 4 piece came back together it would be more about 'moving forward' somehow?...

A Forever Tour would be a f***ing dream lol but I don't think that would ever happen, sadly...

we were ROBBED of a Forever Tour in 2001! I was so ready for it to happen!!!
