  • It's such a bad bad idea... And this was clearly planted by Simon and his team to see if there is any traction to it. Ive had a look and all comments everywhere seem very negative, so that should be a

It's a horrible idea at this point, it's simply far too early. By all means think about doing it in 2046... but not now!! They're only in their early 50s (or 49 x), there's really no valid excuses for

Been having a bit of a moment with "Holler" the last few days. Maybe it's a sign of my maturity but in recent years I've actually found myself returning to it more than I did back when it came out. It

What a lovely surprise!!

There are a lot of rumours flying around that the Spice Girls are booking stadiums in Australia to be announced soon for early 2025.

In 2019 it was supposed to be announced late June for Feb 2020 dates. So they might be using the same time line.

Oh god... here we go again.. it better be f***ing true this time lol

I would imagine stadiums is where they would play for sure. I can see UK - USA and Australia filling up quite quickly. I would hope they go to South America too, they would sell out really quickly in Brazil and Argentina, as well as Mexico. But I do think that's quite wishfull thinking...

Europe, I am not sure they could do stadiums... maybe one or two in strategic places?... like, one in Paris, one in Barcelona, one in Italy?...

So far there has been two different sources about two different stadiums in Australia.

I really hope they do it, Australia deserves it tbh. It would be a huge success I'm sure, the oz fans have been waiting for this for 28 years. Plus with the recent 5 piece pic getting such buzz they are probably being given an even bigger cheque upfront for it.

It could then easily lead to UK in late Spring like in 2019, with Glasto and then the US/South America/Canada late summer so they have nice big gaps in the schedule, Feb, May-June, Aug-Sept.

I hope they do Australia, Asia, South America. Maybe they can do what Madonna just did in Rio with the free concert!

As much as I would love that, the Spice Girls dont have the same level of stardom in Brazil as Madonna, sorry, to pull that. The only other pop girl that could do it, at best, would be Beyonce. Not even Taylor Swift has the hits in the country, or the legacy, to do such a massive show.

They absolutely could sell out a few stadiums though, thats for sure.

How many of thrm? And yup, more evidence it was Shakezpeare Spice holding everything up tpt ry and be Shakespearr!!!
Don't believe it even for a second.

This is more interesting as it is coming from people connected with the stadiums.

It would be perfect damage control for Geri too.

True. Surely even Shakespeare Spice, playing at being a landed gèngry wife, realized ghag she can overshadow the bad news by, um, getting good news for something else?! Going back to what she's known for!

I wish they’d put Spiceworld on Netflix. It’s actually a hilarious film.

The absolute ridiculous thing is Universal has the rights to it now, that is why it was removed from Netflix and the cheap dvd stopped being produced as it changed hands. Then Universal have done absolutely nothing with it bar use clips of it for social media.

It was on the schedule to be released for its anniversary but was pulled months in advance and I have no idea why.

It is probably the biggest mess of it all. Universal probably just cant be bothered to sort the streaming rights to different countries and barter a deal with Netflix.

Sometimes I wonder if Universal or the Girls themselves/their team get how much they actually hurt their own legacy at this point. Sadly the Spice Girls are falling so far behind most other artists these days as they just aren't embracing streaming/online as much as most other artists. There is just no point in 2024 leaving things in the vault.

Imagine Steps having a live album like Birmingham '98 sat in their vaults, it would be out on CD/cassette/vinyl/streaming in a nice release by now and fans would love it.

There must be a reason. Perhaps, they are waiting for the girls to figure out the tour first so they could drop the film while they could generate more buzz for the release? I mean, I didn’t expect them to bother release Emma’s AGLM on vinyl but they still did.

How frustrating! There are probably millions of people out there who loved it at the time and haven’t seen it in years. The nostalgia value is mega.

Yeah, the amount of missed opportunities, specially around the Spiceworld25 campaign made it very very obvious that something happened behind the scenes that called it all off.. Specially after Mel C said that there would be months of celebrations around that era and also talked about having conversations with Universal about the film...

My hunch is that Universal was expecting the girls to actively go out and promo the film too, but some of the girls (Hey V + G!) were not interested in that, so they called it off.... I bet they have a very strained relationship with Universal and EMI, since projects keep being called off over the years due to some of them not wanting to have things out there...

It's f***ing wild though... such easy money and a legacy tarnished because of some of their own egos...
