A little surprised I was the only one going for Hinterlandia tbh but either way happy with joint 7th with Sovarasma despite no points for that and not done badly at all with the other questions.

Thanks for running Wardy and congrats Rich!

Yes it is odd to see Fat Dog as the top answer there because that's very much a case of a winner that just connected a lot with its target audience rather than being an especially wide appealing winner. It's quite rare for winners to not get points from at least half of participants - 140/168 winners have reached that mark (not including the winning country themselves and non-voters), 'King Of The Slugs' only ranks =130th among all winners. Although surprisingly it is slightly ahead of Sovarasma's other winner which also only just passed the 50% of voters mark!

This was my reason for avoiding Fat Dog, boo. Nicolina wouldn't have actually been a great choice by that metric either but I was thinking for 'the majority' a recent pop winner that was seemingly decently regarded by alt voters.

Not did too well although with only a few participants and a few off predictions of what would be top, thanks for running it Wardy regardless. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more BJSC focused quizzes - we have over 15 years of contest history to explore after all.

Omg fourth place! Quite happy with that result. Was almost sure I'd wind up towards the bottom but happy to see that was not the case. Based on the colour codes used by Wardy I'm choosing to tame this as a medal placement😎
Is Nicolina not the lowest scoring winner ever?

Just barely missed out on it (going by the metric of percentage of possible points to compare across contests with different voting systems / varying numbers of voters etc.) - she got 24.38% of possible points compared to 24.37% for Hervé/Zebra Katz.

She did have the lowest score for a winner since we introduced the current voting system in BJSC 74 though, which at this point is well over half of the contest's history ofc.

...the final scoreboard looks like this;

1. | 39 | FSR Rontvia

2. | 38 | Jadakissnia

2. | 38 | Taahino

4. | 35 | Kyriatine

5. | 27 | Dobago

6. | 25 | Aeroche

7. | 23 | Bronzil

7. | 23 | Sovarasma

7. | 23 | Summericia

8. | 22 | Séyetana

8. | 22 | Zanmatony

12. | 17 | Eastovka

13. | 6 | Cheiron
