The Darkness were a good novelty act at the time and that fact plus Justin's Hawkins lead them to their downfall and Justin made them annoying for me. <_<

I like Mika at the moment But will have to wait to see if he starts to grate [like Justin did after a while] :lol:

 

 

I actually think that both Mika and The Darkness are good. :lol: However I do think that Mika will have the longer career out the two and even if The Darkness do get a new lead singer they will flop as they were doing so when Justin was in the band during the 2nd album as they are a novelty act.

the darkness are one of my fav bands ever, but mikas also really good. but ive liked the darkness for 4 years

As it's already been mentioned - they were a NOVELTY act. I mean yeah people can say "they weren't they were glam rock!" no they weren't, not in the same way the others like Freddie Mercury were, he wasn't a novelty act, despite being glam rock. I just hated the way they were universally bummed by every living soul and then actually got recognised by being awarded with a Brit. If we're giving novelty acts Brits then I would like to see The Cheeky Girls get one, who I consider to be a darn sight better than this attrocity.

i knew they werent serious rock stars but i enjoyed there stuff and there have and is far worse bands than them

I utterly detest The Darkness, absolutely NO serious Hard Rock or Metal fan that I know of gave them the time of day, and when Hawkins started talking absolute sh!te as well, that pretty much was the end for them... Good riddance to bad, cheesy, moronic, NOVELTY ACT rubbish... I remember when Hawkins was on "Top Gear" once, and he actually started p***ing and moaning about how he hadn't been nominated for a Brit Award, even though at that time "The Darkness" had done precisely SWEET FA to actually merit it.. Christ, should they make one up, just for him....?? "And the award for Best Cheesy, Naff, Pretend Glam Rock Band Sitting On Their Arse Doing Nothing and Thinking the Fukkin' World Owes Them a Living goes to......."

 

Oh, and Mika..? He's a floating pile of sh!t as well, so option C for me in the first part, but purely because of Hawkins's big bloody gob, I voted for The Darkness as being most irritating

Same here mate... Never liked 'em.... You wanna hear some proper 'Hair Metal', the way it should be done....? Try the likes of Hanoi Rocks, Dave Lee Roth or Van Halen (hell, even Faster Pussycat or Poison!!).... Class fukkin' acts whom Justin fukkin' Hawkins aint even fit to lick the shoes of...

 

Hawkins seems to think he's Dave Lee Roth or Mike Monroe, well, Dave St Hubbins or Nigel Tufnell (Spinal Tap) is probably closer to what he actually is....
