Belatedly thanks to Jester and well done Addy.

 

I can’t complain too much at 7th (and actually not that far off the top), and it’s my 2nd best result in these. Thanks John for the 12 and a few others for podiums.

 

I did feel quite emotionally invested in my song this time. I find “2 Wicky” so beautifully dark and intense, and I love the way it builds to a huge climax and then lets rip. I love the layers in it - the off kilter stuttering drum beat, the grungy guitar riff, the backing vocals, the slightly menacing whispering you can hear.

 

The video is a bit naff and I noticed too late it actually cuts the song short as well, so I should probably have tried to just link to the full audio. I seemed to bomb with the listen through group and do well with others so maybe that had something to do with it. Never mind!

 

A really enjoyable set of songs anyway - thanks all!

'6 Underground' is a classic but would have been an automatic veto as it made the Top 10 (#9 on re-release in 1997).

 

my memory playing tricks there, I thought it went top 40 twice but never became a big hit :o topped my personal charts both times, though :cheer:
