Posted December 6, 2024Dec 6 Debut first full length album by ROSÉ including the singles APT., number one girl and the newly released toxic till the end. Some parts of the album are a bore but the third single is delicious (and so is the male in the music video). This is probably the first non K-Pop sounding release I’ve heard from anyone, it genuinely feels like a pop album released in the US. eA0lHNZ1KCA
December 6, 2024Dec 6 This a very solid album, will be going back to it lots. Toxic till the end is the one however there are some good tracks. Loving Gameboy ATM.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Love this! Some giving it bad reviews but it is what it is...a shameless, fun, much needed pop album. Toxic and Gameboy are a joy.
December 8, 2024Dec 8 It's a lovely album, I think it loses my attention a bit in the second half but it's vocally strong and I appreciate that it's just a solid pop album with no strings attached. I think the one thing that I'd have appreciated more would be a few songs in the same vein as APT. - more in terms of the energy it brings than any copycats.
December 9, 2024Dec 9 This is a really solid pop album! She's my bias in BP anyway, but I really like the songs. I agree with Joseph that I wish there were a couple more tracks in the same vein as 'APT.', but 'number one girl' is absolutely STUNNING and I need that to properly take off at some point.
December 9, 2024Dec 9 Just had this on while I cleaned the house and feel a bit disappointed. The latter half of ballad after ballad is quite a slog to get through really, and it’s a shame given Apt has become probably in my top 20 songs of the year. You wouldn’t know she had exciting stuff like that in her back pocket with most of this genericness. It’s not bad per se, just not memorable. I enjoyed “yeah, you’ll always be a gay boy” though, and Toxic Til The End is good.
December 10, 2024Dec 10 Yeah I feel a bit underwhelmed by the album as a whole, it's definitely not up to the standard of 'APT.' but 'Toxic Till The End' remains an absolute bop, really hope it smashes in the new year!
December 10, 2024Dec 10 It's a very turn of the century kind of pop album in that it has one global smash (APT.), another extremely strong surefire hit (Toxic Till The End) and third really good song with hit potential (Number One Girl), and then a lot of the rest feels samey and plodding. The last five songs did absolutely nothing for me, which was a shame after a solid first half.
