Buzzjack’s ultimate Steps album

We already had our favorite single, video and cover. Now it’s time to find out what our ultimate Steps album is!

How?

• In the next rounds all of their albums (excluding live-albums/US releases) will face a battle royale against each other.

• Each round there will be an amount of albums leaving.

• In the end we’ll have our all time Steps album!

• Thanks for your votes in round 6! The results will be posted in an ultimate album countdown after the last round is finished.

Thanks for all the votes this far :cheer:

Interesting, their ‘debut’ albums reached the finals! This round you can pick your FAVORITE. In going to vote later as I want to listen to both before I make up my mind.

I am conflicted! I do prefer Step One, it's one of my fave albums ever but partly because of what it represents, that moment in time, nostalgia etc. Objectively I think TOTDF is a stronger album. Going to have to do some thinking.

This exactly!!

Step One's major strength is in its singles, plus a couple of album tracks. But then, being brutally honest, it also includes some filler (albeit filler which has sentimental value). It can't be ignored that it has two outright cringey songs slap bang in the middle.

Tears on the Dancefloor hangs together better as an album overall, solid from start to finish! So I'm voting that.

Step One will forever hold that something special for me as I loved the album from first listen. At the time I was like wait and see outside the singles it won't be great when the reality was I ended up loving some of the album tracks more than the singles.

I was kinda cautious in the same way with TOTD and was cautious of the standard outside the singles but again they proved me wrong but had crying at the disco version been the main comeback album I would have been very disappointed.

Interesting, why so?

A 14 track version of TOTD as its theoretical first release, this would still have contained the 10 tracks from the original, i.e. the majority of the album. So I’m not sure I understand how some additional tracks on top of those songs, would lead to being very disappointed in the album? If you like the vast majority of the tracks, wouldn’t that still be a pleasing outcome?

I went for Step One in the end since Experienced is the only track I dislike on it, I love all the others (yes even Too weak to resist)

Seems like you're too weak to resist Too Weak to Resist :teresa:

I meant more if those songs on the deluxe were the original and some of the orginal tracks didnt exist, as i find the standard on the main album so much higher than that of the deluxe but at the same time it was nice to get.

This!
