'Espresso' and 'Million Dollar Baby' are also my favourites of the 2024 songs so far. I very much agree that The Zutons' original of 'Valerie' is the best version, and associate it with the summer of 2006 when there was still plenty of that indie sound in the charts.

At #16, it is another song from Liam Payne this time with his band One Direction with their 2014 hit 'Steal My Girl', I know probaly not the most popular One Direction song but this is my favourite from them.

At #15, it is another random oldie this time it is Rob Thomas with his 2005 single 'Lonely No More'. Listened to this a lot during the summer after rediscovering it. It is an fantastic song from Rob Thomas and in my view this is quite underrated.

Hi Mack! 'Espresso' and 'Million Dollar Baby' are my favorite of the current tracks so far.

Of all the classics so far, my faves are 'Be Faithful', 'Without Me', and 'Iris'. I'm hoping for maybe one more Oasis track, if perhaps you've made room for 'Live Forever'

Hi Riser,

Many thanks for commenting it is much appreciated, :)

Unfortuantely 'Live Forever' didn't make my End of Year chart I'm afraid.

'Espresso' and 'Million Dollar Baby' are also my favourites of the 2024 songs so far. I very much agree that The Zutons' original of 'Valerie' is the best version, and associate it with the summer of 2006 when there was still plenty of that indie sound in the charts.

Hi Jim

Good to see the love for 'Espresso' and 'Million Dollar Baby'. I have find someone else on here who thinks The Zutons' original was the best.

Thanks for commenting, :)

Great to see 'Taste' here. Sabrina has killed it this year!

'Timeless' has grown on me a lot since it's release. I'm still not a fan of Carti's parts but The Weeknd's parts have been stuck in my head.

Out of the older hits, 'Iris' is my favourite from the last few posts.

Steal My Girl! lovely to see that here, shame it's not under better circumstances :(

Hi Joseph,

Glad you are pleased to see 'Steal My Girl' make an appearance in my End of Year. It is a real shame it isn't under better circumstances.

At #13, it is an appearance from Ariana Grande with 'we can't be friends (wait for your love), this is the highest solo single from Ariana where she charted in my End of Year charts. I really enjoyed this from Ariana Grande, one that I couldn't tire of.

At #12, be warned it isn't an popular choice or an popular artist but it is Chris Brown with 'Angel Numbers/Ten Toes'. Probably will be the only person on Buzzjack that would have this in an End of Year chart. But I do quite like this from Chris Brown, I know my taste in music is quite varied.

11 2024- APT. (ROSE & Bruno Mars)

At #11, just missing out on the Top 10 it is this collaboration between ROSE & Bruno Mars. This unlikely collaboration but this worked very well. This was one of the best songs of the last quarter for me, it is an first appearance in an End of Year for ROSE and an first appearance in my End of Year chart since 2021 for Bruno Mars.

At #10, it is an song that got an resurgence thanks to an appearance on a film. It is 'Murder On The Dancefloor' from Sophie Ellis-Bextor thanks to its use on 'Saltburn'. This is an fantastic song from Sophie Ellis-Bextor, probably appreciated this a lot more with this resurgence.

At #9, it is another song that got an resurgence thanks to an appearance this time it is this 2004 single 'Unwritten' from Natasha Bedingfield thanks to its use on 'Anyone but You'. This is such a great tune from Natasha Bedingfield, again similar to 'Murder on The Dancefloor' really appreciated this a lot more with this resurgence that it had. One version that I heard on a talent show back in the autumn didn't do the original any justice at all.

08 2024- Mr Brightside

At #8, be warned it isn't an popular choice, or probably a case of why the heck this has appeared in an End of Year Top 10 chart for the second year in a row. But it is The Killers with their 2004 classic 'Mr Brightside'. Probably in the minority but this isn't an song that I could tire of. Even hearing as darts player Nathan Aspinall's walk-on music it just works.

Murder on the Dancefloor and Unwritten  iconic classics, was so much fun having them both back in the chart this time last year!
Here are some of the songs I like since my last comment: "Popular", "We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love", "APT.", "Murder On The Dancefloor", "Unwritten" and "Mr. Brightside".
