Verstappen now holds the record for the most podium finishes from different starting positions - P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7, P8, P9, P10, P14, P15, P16, P17, P18, P20 and the Pit Lane.

And who would have predicted finishing 3rd from a pitlane start would feel like a disappointment in the end?

  • There's also quite a few drivers who had multiple poles but didn't convert any of them to wins e.g.: Chris Amon - 5 pole positions but never won a race Keke Rosberg - 5 pole positions and 5 victories

  • Yet again, we're seeing reports of multiple brawls/fights between fans at a Grand Prix. This is becoming an increasing problem over the last few years and is coupled with an increase in abusive behavi

  • It wouldn't be changing the cars just for one track. Hungary, Jeddha, Barcelona, Singapore, Miami, Suzuka, Imola all have problems delivering overtaking. You would improve the racing across the board.

Was hoping the wet session would have caused a mixed up grid but not at all other than Sainz P3

Lewis Hamilton is the first Ferrari driver to qualify last since Giancarlo Fisichella in Abu Dhabi 2009 .

What a twist. Imagine if Max wins the championship from here o

I think that's what the FIA wants 😅

Jks. But that's absolutely wild, almost certainly going to Abu Dhabi now at least. Kimi pulling off a result on par with Max last race then!

He will need Lando to be essentially DNF in one race and that's not likely to occur, but you never know. We all know if you battle with Max on the track anything can happen.

McLaren are a Team i will always take immense joy in seeing failing or suffering

Absolutely cackled. Shame Crybaby 2.0 got a podium as well but you can’t have everything in life

I'm really looking forwards to the last two races now, hope Max can take it to the wire, and I dont mean just being mathematically possible but to have a not unrealistic chance of winning it in Abu Dhabi.

I find it utterly bonkers to think I'm routing for Veratappen to win a world championship but here we are. There's nothing likeable about this McLaren team at all, and now Horner is not involved Red Bull are so much easier to back.

Yeah I'm totally fine with Max winning it this year, would be a monumental comeback that would go down in F1 history and he has objectively been the best driver of the 3 this season by a landslide. (Plus my bet at the start of the season which looked doomed half way through would actually come in!)

I'm also Piastri over Norris but the way he's folded like a packet of crisps in the last this season has been pretty embarrassing...

Adrian Newey has been appointed team principal at Aston Martin with Andy Cowell moving to chief strategy officer.

It'll be interesting to see if this goes well or not next year

Uhm, McLaren? 😅

Please Sainz to stay at podium!

Perfectly set up for the finale, really.

You'd still back Norris to be champion but always a chance with Max so close, neither he or McLaren inspire that much confidence to see it through.

If Max had not collided with George in Spain he'd be 3 points behind Lando right now and arguably the favourite for the title.

It will be a pity if that penalty (however deserved) makes a difference to the outcome of the championship next week

Lando had his Glock moment with Kimi's mistake. Without that he couldn't just cruise to 3rd place in the finale. Mind you he couldn't manage top 3 today so it's still gonna been intriguing to see how McLaren conspire to potentially throw it all away...
