DCL-2

Oasis ~ Don't Look Back In Anger

Oasis ~ Live Forever

Oasis ~ Wonderwall

Ratemageddon could be upon us! 😱

(Although I presume 'Champagne Supernova' and most of their other starred out songs are also on DCL-2 - perhaps DCL-3 for 'Acquiesce' - so I'm not sure they'd have any new Top 40 hits coming in as replacements...)

'Blessings', 'Dior' and 'Manchild' would make for a nice little Top 10 clearout anyway, and let's hope 'Nice To Meet You' finally goes this time!

  • confirmed ACRs this week: Adele ~ Hometown Glory Alex Warren ~ Burning Down AJ Tracey and Jorja Smith ~ Crush Disturbed ~ The Sound Of Silence (RIP)

Voting closes on Monday so there will fortunately be no such Ratemageddon 🙏I won't be taking songs out of the rate mid-results. Now fully expecting "Champagne Supernova" to win and the ultimate platinum non-top 40 to be a top 40 😂

Oasis have some big concerts this week maybe they could avoid but I hope the rest go ACR

At least it won't get the brits reset next year 😅

Feels too early for the likes of Calvin, MK, and Olivia Dean, but happy to see some of the others ready to go on ACR.

I guess there’s a chance a couple of these could have declined by less than the market. “Don’t Look Back In Anger” for example must have had similar sales to last week.

We know from the sales report that Manchild by Sabrina Carpenter and Blessings by Calvin Harris and Clementine Douglas are both now on ACR.

Dior avoided and gets a reset.

Glad Dior avoided to keep it in there until the end of summer!

Are we seeing the end of BTs??

As usual it’s an estimate based on reported sales increases from MusicWeek. However MusicWeek only reports for the Top 75 and doesn’t confirm songs declined by more than the market this week or in previous weeks.

If Don’t Look Back In Anger and Live Forever are indeed going to ACR, then next weeks 3 Oasis songs will be Wonderwall, Acquiesce and Slide Away unless Acquiesce is also going to ACR which I hope it ain’t. I’d love to see Champagne Supernova enter the top 40 for the first time
