Yeah I found it didn’t happen until Ultra, it was more varied lower down.

How did everyone get on in Regulation M-A?

I had a very slow start, found it very difficult to get used to my team but ended up smashing it by the end!

I run a Kangaskhan x Floette team (with Incin, Sinistcha (my absolute fave for online battling), Pelliper and Basc). Sticking with this team for the start of M-B now before I consider who I am switching for.

Contrary Staraptor with Close Combat and its teammate Grimmsnarl using Parting Shot on it seems like the big threat so far in this very early days of the new regulation

i'm still trying to make a new team work after 2 seasons of smashing with my rain heliolisk team.

^trying to make a mega raichu Y / tinkaton core happen just to laugh off the mega staraptors, but I haven't even come across one yet!

Staraptor and Eelektross getting what feels like fan made megas compared to bog standard abilities for the likes of Scolipede 💀 I know there has to be a balance and not every mega is going to be equal, but it’s insane how broken the likes of Floette and Staraptor are but they flunked so many of the new megas that there is 0 reason to use them. I mean Malamar there was no hope unless it had like…. Contrary + Huge Power or something lmfao but Scolipede only needed a decent ability, not even anything broken. Tough Claws is disappointing for Barbaracle given it’s a Rock type so one of its STABs won’t even benefit, and why not just give Adaptability to Pyroar?

I live in fear of Emergency Exit Mega Golisopod, if they f***ing dare….

Staraptor is actually kiiiind of all hype, like it’s not hard enough to set up to call it a gimmick but it’s not some kind of free win button. I’ve honestly not seen many though, clickbaity reels/tiktoks/youtube have been hailing it as a second coming 💀 I think it’s one of those that will easily trip up lower ladder players who don’t know or aren’t expecting it, particularly as it’s new, but it’s not going to be too big of a threat in higher level play.

I love Raichu Y as a nuke although it is so ridiculously frail. I saw one on a YouTube video get 4 shot by Population Bomb oop. I think it’s more of a singles mon. Eelektross is also quite fun and with such a wide movepool you could run it so many ways so I think it’s going to have some crazy fun sets emerge.
