Posted April 10Apr 10 What is the worst football match you've seen in your view, the one that is memorable for the wrong reasons? For me it would be Switzerland 0-0 Ukraine (2006 World Cup Last 16)Very recently it would be the FA Cup Quarter-Final match between Nottingham Forest v Brighton & Hove Albion.
April 10Apr 10 Those World Cup 2010 games were pure torture. England vs Scotland in Euro 2020 was another one dour watch (I’m sure it was then). I’ve seen some truly terrible live games and on TV. Seen way too many that they all kind of blur in to one.
April 11Apr 11 Honestly and not even "recency bias" the Man Utd / Man City game at the weekend just past was absolutely dire, players playing with absolutely no passion or desire. As if the game wasn't bad enough, the atmosphere was absolutely flat. I've heard more passion in a league 2 game on TV. Just absolutely not a single redeeming feature about the game except it ended. There's been a couple of England games in recent years that have been abysmal, I think the Serbia one was a particular car crash of dull. But any of our group stages games could be pinpointed.I cannot remember the year but a good 12 years ago or so I went to a Leicester vs Norwich game because we got some free tickets (not a fan of either, just enjoy watching footy) and I fell asleep in the seat as there was absolutely no noise and nothing happened, my dad left me to it because he deemed it abusive to wake me to watch the absolute borefest happening in front of our eyes
April 11Apr 11 I was looking forward to England vs. USA in the 2022 World Cup, but that was far from a thriller.

April 11Apr 11 1985 European Cup Final Juventus V LiverpoolI don't recall the match itself being that bad but nobody really cared by the time it kicked off
