Day 3: Favourite on-screen friendship - Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf)

Day 4: TV show you've deliberately avoided watching - Downton Abbey

A little catch up!

Amandaland really impressed me, I was worried that the lack of the other Motherland characters would work against it but it's flourished on its own two feet really well and brought so many laughs with it.

Scott and Stiles are the beating heart of Teen Wolf and a huge part of why the show was so easy to love. Stiles' absence near the end was very noticeable!

I try not to just write shows off and I'll always be open-minded, but I just know certain styles of shows aren't for me and I've never enjoyed any period drama I've happened to catch on TV - they just bore me a lot, I'm sorry! When there's so much TV to watch, stuff like this would never be a priority of mine.

Never watch Ninja Warrior on simulcast because I don't think there's any outside Japan, but I'm still looking out for new videos on their YouTube channel.

Toxic Town - I feel like anything I've LOVED has been a renewal or was out last year, I did enjoy Toxic Town though

Day 3: Favourite on-screen friendship

Adult Misty & Natalie (YellowJackets)

I could put so many for this though

Day 4: TV show you've deliberately avoided watching

The Big Bang Theory although I have seen this against my will but I really hate it 😅

Day 5: An underrated TV show

YellowJackets (this is gonna be my answer for loads probs lmao)

Day 5: An underrated TV show

Utopia. I've literally written a dissertation about it, but a really great, distinctive ahead of it's time show that was cancelled too soon and sadly has a shit US remake to it's name

I loved the first season of Yellowjackets, but it's been going steadily downhill since :'( (I'm only halfway through S3)

Day 5: An underrated TV show - The Recruit

Actually found today's one quite difficult because I don't think I've watched many TV shows that could be classed as truly underrated but going back through my list of TV shows I've watched over the last few years The Recruit stands out since it's just been cancelled after its second season 💀 season 1 had such a compelling storyline and Noah Centineo was great in that kind of role.

Day 5: An underrated TV show - Looking for Alaska

Faithfully adapted from a book by John Green (The Fault in Our Stars), the Looking for Alaska limited series is a work of art. Charlie Plummer, Kristine Froseth and Denny Love excel as the core characters and the gut punch plot twist in the penultimate episode still hits on repeated views. It's held in high regard by those who have watched but it mostly seemed to fly under the radar cry

Love this choice, I watched it a few years ago and it's not easy viewing but it's a really strong show, deserved at least another series and a proper conclusion.

The Wheel probs

  1. favourite trans character: Lily Hoshikawa (Zombieland Saga)

  2. favourite new show released in 2025: Adolescence

  3. favourite on-screen friendship: Julian Bashir and Miles O'Brien (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

  4. TV show I've avoided watching: The Last Of Us

Also applies to Fallout and pretty much any video game adaptation (except Arcane, which is a different sort of thing), I'd much rather experience these shows first in the visual medium they were originally made in and even though I have a huge game backlog, I'll eventually get to it. Also certain book adaptations but I'm much less selective for that.

  1. Underrated TV show: Uma Musume

could apply this to many anime if we're talking about here and even many of my sci-fi shows but this one stands out because among anime watchers it's not often considered that standout (and it's also attached to a mobile game which lowers its reputation), but the way it uses real-life horse races to sell the trials of the main characters in a fictionalised adaptation (of human-looking horse girls running these race) is a narrative technique that really works in making this better than most sports shows.

  1. Favourite quiz show: University Challenge

The only quiz show I catch up on episodes for. I get attached to one or two teams every year and I like challenging myself to see how many of the questions I can get (which is not all that many but enough to make me feel smart whenever one of my subjects of interest comes up). It's also easier than most people think when it does cover a subject you know, because the way in which the questions are asked is often deliberately set so that people passingly familiar with the topic can find a clue in the question somewhere, so gaming that is fun.

Loving their latest spin-off series Cinderella Gray at the moment. Intrigued to continue with the main storyline once the Oguri Cap saga ends.

I'm a sucker for a good quiz show but The 1% Club has solidified itself as a huge favourite in the last few years. It doesn't rely on general knowledge which is already a more accessible concept, easy to play along with friends to make it extra competitive, and Lee Mack makes for a hilarious and engaging host too.

The 1% Club is a great show. ITV deserve credit for putting it on in a prime Saturday night slot from the start. Lee Mack's hosting adds an extra element to it.

Day 7: TV show that outstayed its welcome

The Walking Dead, I really liked the first five seasons but it just went on and on and I couldn't bring myself to sit through it, and there's still spin-offs going!
