Day 8: Most misunderstood character you like or relate to: Boruto Uzumaki

Like, an obvious one. Screw all the elitists and tourists lol. (Not saying I defend Mikio Ikemoto's incompetency as the illustrator and storyboard writer though. He's still the least good mangaka of all the manga I've read so far.)

Good shout there with Mark and Jeremy @Chez Wombat I've been going back to Peep Show a lot recently just putting it on whenever I don't want to start something new and they'll forever be iconic!

Day 7: TV show that outstayed its welcome - Benidorm

Day 8: Most misunderstood character you like or relate to - Sam Gardner (Atypical)

I've just recently gone back and watched all of Benidorm from where I dropped off (around when the Garvey family were still in it / when they left) and my god the rest of it was the biggest waste of time ever. I stuck with it until the end because I had nothing better to watch but I can't believe they dragged it out for ten series. It was never as good as it was in the beginning from around series 4 onwards but it should have ended when the Garveys left.

It did get less and less funny - I think going to an hour was the first issue - the first couple of series' going to an hour were ok, but then when things went awry the runtime just didn't help.

The actor playing Mel dying really hit the show quite a bit - but then the Garvey's went and the actor playing Donald also died.

It definitely outstayed its welcome

I did have to check if they were always hour episodes or not lol I put it on on Netflix one night and was wondering why the episode seemed to be going on for a while; definitely no justification for adding to the runtime when the quality was slipping majorly.

Agree on Donald. Although Jacqueline remained funny on her own and probably one of the only good constants for the last few series', Donald's absence was definitely felt and they were fumbling trying to think of ways to keep her part of what was going on.

Day 1: Favourite trans character - Elle Argent (Heartstopper)

Day 2: Favourite new TV show released in 2025 - Amandaland

Day 3: Favourite on-screen friendship - Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf)

Day 4: TV show you've deliberately avoided watching - Downton Abbey

Day 5: An underrated TV show - Looking for Alaska

Day 6: Favourite quiz show - The 1% Club

Day 7: TV show that outstayed its welcome - Dancing on Ice

Day 8: Most misunderstood character you like or relate to - Miles Halter (Looking for Alaska)

I just couldn't get into Dancing on Ice's comeback. It felt more clinical and lifeless, from the set to the judging line-up (Torvill and Dean are just not compelling personalities, it was better when they were mentors as opposed to judges). The list of winners since the revival is slightly depressing too.

I don't know if Miles from Looking for Alaska is misunderstood as such, perhaps he is initially by some of the characters, but I definitely relate to him more than any other character. The autism traits are very identifiable and Charlie Plummer's performance only strengthens how likeable and naive Miles is.

Day 1: Favourite trans character - Arun Parmar (Bad Girls)

Day 2: Favourite new TV show released in 2025 - Battle Camp

Day 3: Favourite on-screen friendship - Jack & Karen (Will & Grace)

Day 4: TV show you've deliberately avoided watching - Britain’s Got Talent

Day 5: An underrated TV show - Yellowjackets (incredible!)

Day 6: Favourite quiz show - Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win

Day 7: TV show that outstayed its welcome - The Only Way Is Essex (debatable if it was ever welcome lol)

Day 8: Most misunderstood character you like or relate to - Tanya Turner (Footballers’ Wives)

Day 8: Most misunderstood character you like or relate to: Skyler White (Breaking Bad)

I don't relate to her or anything, but she was portrayed excellently and way waaay overhated (despicably so in some cases) in a clear example of online misogyny, I'm not sure how one could be judged so harshly for not acting entirely rational when finding out your husband's turned into a murderous drug kingpin.

Day 9: Favourite TV soundtrack: Departure to the Frontlines

Has always been goosebumps for 10 years+

Day 9: Favourite TV soundtrack - Katie Garfield - Gallows (Teen Wolf)

Day 10: Earliest memory of watching a TV show - Teletubbies

Gallows wasn't composed specifically for Teen Wolf, but it's one of a couple of discoveries I made from the show, and this one in particular stands out as I'd never have heard of the song, or Katie Garfield herself, otherwise. It's a striking instrumental and suits the scene well, where Theo's in a pretty bleak situation.

Also I remember watching Teletubbies and Tweenies as a kid, peak viewing, and I had the toys too cheeseblock Po was always my fave x

Day 10: Earliest memory of watching a TV show - Teletubbies

Will always remember how iconic the Teletubbies were and my mum always goes on about how I was obsessed with it. but the windmill was the most terrifying thing ever for some reason

As for soundtracks, it has to be Doctor Who for me. Although so far in RTD2 it's felt like the soundtrack is just a bit of a rehash of Murray Gold's greatest hits from the show we've had some absolutely beautiful instrumentals, and one that always sticks out to me is Together or Not At All (below) and the score when River reveals her identity.

Day 11: Funniest moment or scene in a TV show - Crashing (a woman is encouraged by her partner to fart in front of him in bed and she accidentally follows through lol)

Day 9: Favourite TV soundtrack

I'm trying not to repeat shows (would be Twin Peaks if so), so I'll go with Game of Thrones, can't get more epic than that opening theme.

Day 10: Earliest memory of watching a TV show

It was probably Teletubbies for me too, but as it's been mentioned, I'll go with similar chart topping legend, Bob the Builder x

Day 11: Funniest moment or scene in a TV show

There's probably many I can't quite recall, but this scene from the Simpsons always stands out to me (although the whole episode is hilarious) 😅

Surprised it's taken me this long to mention Doctor Who but honestly this is comedy gold, especially when remembering Catherine Tate improvised most of this lol

Day 12: Favourite love triangle in a TV show: Taiki, Chinatsu & Hina (Blue Box)

Honestly, had this been held 8 months earlier, my answer would've still been the classic Your Lie in April, but Blue Box was something else 5-6 months ago.

Day 12: Favourite love triangle in a TV show - Olivia, Fitz and Mellie (Scandal)

Love triangles don't really grip me on the whole but the love life of the fictional President Grant was the catalyst for a lot of action in Scandal, and gave both Kerry Washington (Olivia) and Bellamy Young (Mellie) so much material to work with!

Name something more iconic than that, honestly

As for love triangles, I initially thought of Elena/Damon/Stefan but really I was only ever rooting for Elena and Stefan in that and it never ended up going how I wanted it to, so probably not 'favourite' and more infuriating throughout lmao. And do Pam/Jim and their respective others count from The Office? idk so I've gone for one that's genuinely had me really invested across both seasons and had me rooting for both the boys at different points (but ultimately always being team Jeremiah x) when they've shown vulnerabilities.

Day 13: TV show villain you would fall victim to - Conrad (Doctor Who: Lucky Day)

I mean this more in the sense of an equivalent to the character of Conrad. If a guy I find good looking shows interest in me and seems kind, best believe I'm falling for him x

Day 12: Favourite love triangle in a TV show

Timmy, Trixie and Tootie in the Fairly Odd Parents B-) (I have zero interest in love triangles x)

Day 13: TV show villain you would fall victim to

Villanelle from Killing Eve (at least before the show went off the rails), in the sense it would be very unlikely I'd suspect her or make it out alive.

honestly I just wouldn't have the energy to even try putting up a fight, he'd have me flat out in a heartbeat. One of the most despicable, love-to-hate villains I've seen in a TV show in a long time. Thinking of Cobra Kai for this one has kinda made me feel like I could've also had Kreese for my misunderstood character, like damn his storyline across all six seasons was brilliant.
