There are so many 'comfort' shows I have. Went with Friday Night Dinner because it's the one I most recently went back and watched / had on in the background for familiarity when I couldn't be bothered starting something new. Could watch the likes of that, Still Game, Gimme Gimme Gimme, Miranda, etc from start to finish an endless amount and still enjoy them all just as much.

Alex... going from how he was in season 1 of Grey's, there being a turning point and him then becoming one of the most loveable, endearing, caring, brilliant characters in the show was just great. Will never understand why he wasn't given a proper exit. For him to just... leave in a storyline that made very little sense given the direction things were going, okay x

Jeremiah needs no explanation bratcheeseblock

Day 14: TV show you've watched several times from start to finish

Friends, mainly due to the E4 reruns back in the day, but it is always great comfort viewing.

Day 15: Favourite character development in a TV show -

Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender, his journey from villain to hero was stunningly done, nothing he did felt over the top or out of character, it was frustrating at times to see him fall back to his old ways but it made it all the better when he overcame them.

Day 16: Hottest male character -

Spongebob Squarepants x (AKA using my asexual card to get out of this)

Day 17: Biggest victim of one-series cancellation by Netflix or another streaming platform

The OA fits this perfectly, but it actually managed one more season. I'll go with 1899, second show from the creator of Dark that had similar ambitious and cryptic storytelling and a cliffhanger ending, but sadly just didn't build up the audience to be fleshed out enough.

Day 17: Biggest victim of one-series cancellation by Netflix or another streaming platform - Lockwood & Co.

Day 18: Favourite reality TV show - Big Brother UK

Honestly Lockwood & Co. being cancelled is one of the most frustrating things Netflix have ever done. A brilliant series, brilliant cast/group of characters and something that felt like it could've ended up big for them but again they choose to piss people off out of some wild target-driven necessity to cancel shows frequently. Allowing it to end on a cliffhanger too was just not it drama

Had to end up going for Big Brother for reality show in the end because I think some of the others I had in mind, despite possibly being classed as competition reality shows, probably easier fall into the game show category.

Day 18: Favourite reality TV show: The Amazing Race (and Asia)

I think that'll be the final answer since I have no more time to watch reality TV shows, and instead dedicate myself watching as many anime as I can.

For the record, my favorite teams (which won't affect Day 24) are Leo & Jamal (Afghanimals were quite fun iirc) and Natasha & Husein (rooting for them since leg 3) from TAR and TARA, respectively.

Day 16: Hottest male character - Jeremiah Fisher (The Summer I Turned Pretty)

Day 17: Biggest victim of one-series cancellation by Netflix or another streaming platform - The Society

Day 18: Favourite reality TV show - Big Brother US

Missed a few so catching up - day 14 onwards.

There are many comfort shows I've rewatched often but I've chosen Miranda because I find comedies are the easiest to venture back to. I feel like I know most of the episodes inside out and many quotes from the show have entered my vernacular over the years!

I love how Lydia's layers peel off as the seasons go by in Teen Wolf, going from insufferable popular girl to the most intelligent and logical character who supports her friends despite going through so much.

Copying Calum's answer for hottest male character because he's absolutely right x

The Society was a great concept and had a lot of potential. It's my go-to answer here because it actually did get renewed, then cancelled just before filming began because of COVID. A baffling move for a show that was so popular and I think it's one that could have burned a lot of people's trust in Netflix.

Big Brother US is my favourite version of the format, focusing more on strategy and gameplay, and I love following it through the summer. Last year's season was a big favourite so there's plenty of life in it too!

Day 18: Favourite reality TV show -

Not generally a fan of this genre, and even the best ones like Big Brother and The Apprentice descended to become too predictable and manipulated for tension/laughs, I have really become obsessed with The Traitors though so that takes rhe mantle for now, helps that it's still in its early days.

Day 19: Least favourite main character in a TV show: Naoya Mukai (Girlfriend, Girlfriend)

The anime community might've easily picked Takemichi Hanagaki (Tokyo Revengers) or Kazuya Kinoshita (Rent-A-Girlfriend), but I haven't watched both anime so I couldn't judge them properly. Elsewhere, Boruto Uzumaki and Asta (Black Clover) could be top picks as well, but I love them both.

My pick goes to the main character from a mid-tier romance anime. Basically, he's kinda annoying because all I can remember from him in the first two seasons is his scream. Luckily, one of the harems carried the entire show to make me not drop the series.

this was actually one of the ones I had in mind immediately when first creating the thread, and having recently just watched all of Motherland too. Sometimes she's okay and provides some comedic moment but my god 90% of the time I cannot stand Julia brat

This was probably intentional but Light Yagami from Death Note, just an utterly deluded psychopath which it all the more difficult to watch given we were following him, saying that, I should really finish it one of these days x

Day 20: TV show that gave its fans what they wanted but it didn't work:

Disney Star Wars seems quite guilty of pandering and failing, encompasses a lot of shows but The Mandalorian comes to mind.

Day 22: Character you'd do anything to protect: Rem (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-)

She's too adorable, and this anime's MC rejected him in the worst way.

I know I'm going to be so alone in saying The Vampire Diaries, but Elena and Damon together and how things developed with them just was not it for me, so that's more on a personal level of it not being what I wanted to see.

Feel like I have to go with Still Game for at least one of these - by far and away one of the best, most essential sitcoms ever that just encapsulates Scottish humour so perfectly (albeit losing its magic in series 7-9 when it returned). bratcheeseblock

And going out of the box a bit with today's one, Ca$h in Heartbreak High is just one of those characters I never want anything bad to happen to, watching him and his story and how it's unfolded so far across both seasons of Heartbreak High... stay safe my king x

Day 25: Most unexpected emotional moment in a TV show - Sinead's death (Coronation Street)

Day 26: TV show ruined by being brought back after ending or cancellation - Dancing on Ice

I really enjoyed Smoggie Queens when I watched it last month, but Dickie was a pretty unlikeable lead. I think that was largely the point and it was played for laughs a lot of the time but the warmth of the show came from other characters like Mam.

Love, Victor's conclusion was what fans wanted during season 1 but I don't think it really made sense by the time season 3 finished.

Miranda has to be my favourite comedy but shoutout to other ones I regularly rewatch - One Day at a Time, Motherland, The Green Green Grass, Fresh Prince, etc.

Gonna throw Teen Wolf in again as I'd protect Isaac with my life and I'm gutted he wasn't in more of the show x

Heartstopper came to mind for day 23 initially but I thought I'd go for a different approach. The remake of Heartbreak High has LGBTQ+ characters weaved throughout it, as well as asexual representation and many positive examples of bisexuality. Some characters are confident in their sexuality and some are just discovering/exploring it, and it doesn't feel the slightest bit forced.

Quinn is an easy choice, despite him only featuring in last year's Big Brother, it's the closest representation I've seen to someone like me in a reality show.

I didn't really like Sinead Tinker as a character in Coronation Street, but her cancer storyline was largely done very well and I found her death episode really emotional to my own surprise, as I wasn't actually that sad to see her go!

Not a drama so it didn't "end" as such but Dancing on Ice was great entertainment back in the day. Not sure what went wrong upon its comeback, perhaps I'd just outgrown it, but I just couldn't get into the new version. Torvill and Dean weren't compelling judges at all and worked better as mentors, the new set looked far blander without having the audience in the back of the shot, the big screen just made the entire thing felt empty.

Day 27: Most annoying reality TV contestant: Rachel Reilly (The Amazing Race [season 20, 24, and 31])

I don't watch Big Brother so I'm appraising her solely from her TAR performances (both with Brendon and Eliza).

Basically, she was just annoying every week especially if she cried and I just didn't understand why. Looking back at her clips, I guess I'd be laughing now since she didn't win the whole competition in all 3 seasons.

Day 25: Most unexpected emotional moment in a TV show - Stefan kills Enzo (The Vampire Diaries)

Day 26: TV show ruined by being brought back after ending or cancellation - Waterloo Road

Day 27: Most annoying reality TV contestant - Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu

I think Heartstopper has done the best job at representing lots of different LGBTQ+ people on the show, no matter what you think of it. Its exploration of Isaac a bit more was very welcome, while obviously also focusing a lot on Elle too.

Gonna go with Trey for favourite reality TV contestant, can't think far back enough at the moment and he's been one that I've loved in both shows he's appeared in. He was great in Squid Game: The Challenge, but it was pretty tough seeing everyone go in on him so hard on Battle Camp and for no real reason whatsoever other than that they're probably intimidated and threatened by how intelligent he is compared to them; particularly Chase lol. And then for most annoying reality TV contestant... no explanation required.

I remember so vividly watching that episode of The Vampire Diaries when it was released and having Stefan kill Enzo was bad enough, but I wasn't prepared for the way the episode ended with Bonnie holding him in her arms and the scream she let out. Shivers everywhere bratcheeseblock

Despite enjoying Waterloo Road's revival to an extent - particularly series 14 which was the closest we've had to vintage Waterloo Road I think - and having the likes of Kim around as head was a great way to reintroduce the show despite there being some big discrepancies with continuity I think the original magic of the show has definitely been lost. I love that they've capitalised on its success on iPlayer and brought it back, but I think they should have had a much clearer objective of what they wanted to achieve by bringing it back. I wouldn't say it's been completely ruined but when you think about the show it was when the likes of Rachel and co were in it and the stories they told back then, this is a very watered down version with much less going for it.

Catching up a bit x

Day 21: Favourite comedy / sitcom TV show -

From a show I haven't already mentioned, The Thick of It, wonderfully frank and timely political farce from a time when BBC actually still could produce things that provocative.

Day 22: Character you'd do anything to protect

Pikachu, cos duh x

Day 23: Favourite LGBTQ+ representation in a TV show

Yorkie and Kelly in San Junipero, Black Mirror, a beautiful story and the way the stories are blended from their past and new lives was amazingly done <3

Day 24: Favourite reality TV contestant

Wagner, the legend that is and always was x

Day 25: Most unexpected emotional moment in a TV show

It's a bit awkward talking about the show now, but I've got to shout out Drake and Josh here, the episode where Josh disassociates himself from Drake, leading to him openly admitting how much he needs him felt like catharsis for all the times Drake took advantage of him and worked shockingly well for a kids show.

Day 26: TV show ruined by being brought back after ending or cancellation

The Powerpuff Girls, not that I watched it but it seems to have literally turned into the very thing the original series was parodying (I promise I watch adult shows too kink.)

Day 27: Most annoying reality TV contestant

Day 6: Favourite quiz show Pointless

Day 7: TV show that outstayed its welcome Once Upon A Time

Day 8: Most misunderstood character you like or relate to Skyler from Breaking Bad (err, hello, if you found out what your husband had been doing, you'd be exactly the same)

Day 9: Favourite TV soundtrack Dawsons Creek

Day 10: Earliest memory of watching a TV show It will be something I watched with my nan - like Murder She Wrote

Day 11: Funniest moment or scene in a TV show There's a scene in Gimme Gimme Gimme where Linda cannot understand why Tom is marrying a woman. I can quote most of it to this day

Day 18: Favourite reality TV show Race Across the World

Day 19: Least favourite main character in a TV show Ted in How I Met Your Mother

Day 20: TV show that gave its fans what they wanted but it didn't work Linking to the one above - Ted & anyone in HIMYM

Day 25: Most unexpected emotional moment in a TV show Colin's storyline in It's A Sin (I know the show has some very emotional/sad moments but this one was insanely well done and pulled the rug from beneath you!)

Day 26: TV show ruined by being brought back after ending or cancellation I actually haven't seen a lot of shows that came back after cancellation. Think I'll be cheap and say Love Island, because I do not like what it has done with the reinforcement of very limited gender views.

Day 27: Most annoying reality TV contestant Perez Hilton in CBB will always be up there for me....I also have a few people who I believe 'act' a character (e.g. Joey Essex)

Day 28: Hottest female character

Day 29: TV show you'd end immediately if you could

Day 30: Favourite final episode of a TV show
