“She’s not looking for ‘We Found Love 2.0,’ or ‘Work 2.0.’ The arrangement and the feel feels all very new — very cutting-edge, in front of what the next wave will be, because she usually tries to do that every time she puts something out.” (Producer Jon Bellion for Billboard)

Cutting edge lmfaooo

At best this sounds an AI generated homage to This Is What You Came For which is 10 years old at this point. She really cba with the album and wanted to make sure we never ask for music again.

'Cutting edge' 🤣

It sounds like she literally phoned in a 'will this do' vocal from an old Nokia 3310 while in the bath (or somewhere else with terrible acoustics) and the producer laid it on top of an Underworld reject from 1996.

This is no 'Friend of Mine' at all, probably the worst song that Rihanna had done. An anticipated new song we were expecting fireworks instead the end of the result was about as welcome as an fart in a lift.

I'm really not a Rihanna fan (apart from We Found Love, Only Girl and Umbrella) so finding it oddly hilarious to read how almost unanimously Friend of Mine is hated.

The comment that was shared about it being even worse than "Woman's World" is very funny. Though not sure it's true!

I'm not sure about that. Bad as this is, she has done some seriously bad stuff in her time.

For me Phresh Out The Runway is my personal least favourite thing she’s ever done! Horrible opener to what’s actually one of her better albums.

This is more beige than it is bad per se. It’s definitely just been cobbled together though.
