Céline Dion's Official most-streamed songs of all time in the UK revealed

By Nick Levine | 14 May 2025

Céline Dion isn't just a singer with five Number 1 albums and 27 Top 40 singles to her name.

She's also the queen of Las Vegas, a vocal powerhouse with an unparalleled range, and an icon of resilience. In 2022, she revealed that she has been diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological condition that affects her vocal cords and everyday mobility.

This week, she sent a special video message to the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland, recognising the fact that ESC is where it all began for her.

In 1988, she won the contest for Switzerland with her French-language power ballad Ne partez pas sans moi.

Since then, she's released 12 English-language studio albums and taken her tally of French-language studio albums to 15.

To celebrate her enduring impact, we've crunched the numbers to reveal her 20 most-streamed songs ever on the UK's Official Charts. But before we reveal the full chart, let's take a closer look at the Top 5...

5. Think Twice

Released: 1994

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1

Total UK streams: 60 million

This exquisite, slow-building ballad became Céline's first song to top the UK's Official Singles Chart, where it reigned for seven straight weeks. To this day, it's one of the UK's best-selling singles of all time. Like Céline, Think Twice has a bit of Eurovision in its backstory: it was co-written by Andy Hill, who previously penned Bucks Fizz's 1981 song contest winner Making Your Mind Up.

4. Because You Loved Me

Released: 1996

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 5

Total UK streams: 67 million

Written by power ballad queen Diane Warren, this karaoke classic served as the theme song to Up Close & Personal, a romantic movie starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Redford. It was the second Diane Warren composition – of 16 to date – to be nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars. Sadly, Diane has still never won in this category, but another ballad sung by Céline, My Heart Will Go On, went on to claim the trophy in 1997.

3. I'm Alive

Released: 2002

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 17

Total UK streams: 74 million

Céline is best known for her ballads, but this uplifting bop from 2002's A New Day Has Come album shows she can also boss dance-pop. It's a Y2K-era classic that enjoyed a surprising second life on TikTok when Canadian mash-up maestro Jammin Kid spliced it with the 1970s funk tune And the Beat Goes On. After this version went viral, it was released as a single in May 2024, credited to DJ-producer Majestic, Jammin Kid and Celine. Titled Set My Heart on Fire (I'm Alive x And the Beat Goes On), it duly became Céline's 27th and most recent UK Top 40 hit.

2. My Heart Will Go On

Released: 1997

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1

Total UK streams: 89 million

Near, far, wherever you are... you'll know this song. It's the theme to Titanic, the fourth highest-grossing film of all time, and it won an Oscar in 1998. Céline remains so closely associated with the film that there's even a West End and Broadway musical predicated on the idea that she was secretly on board the ill-fated cruise liner. It's called Titanique (because Céline is French-Canadian), it's a comedy (phew) and it features some of her most popular songs including this one. Truly, there is no one quite like Céline Dion.

1. It's All Coming Back to Me Now

Released: 1996

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 3

Total UK streams: 114 million

When you need someone to sell epic melodrama, you call Céline. Her incredible, seven-and-a-half minute version of It's All Coming Back to Me Now was actually the second to make the Official Singles Chart – the original recording by girl-group Pandora's Box peaked at Number 51 in 1989. This gargantuan power ballad was written by Jim Steinman, who's most known for crafting many of Meat Loaf's signature songs. Meat Loaf wanted to record It's All Coming Back to Me Now for years, but finally got his way in 2006, when his duet version with Marion Raven became a UK Number 6 hit.

I was surprised that It's All Coming Back to Me Now is first place, but I'm not sure I realised that it had had a viral moment! It's one of my favourites so I'm happy to see it! Love to see I'm Alive

"I Love You" is really popular amongst cover songs and talent show contestants in the Philippines (who just adore Celine in general). I imagine a few well seen covers of those is what's translating in

Some pleasant surprises on this list! The first being 'My Heart Will Go On' not being Celine's most streamed, but I suppose 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now' had its viral moment a few years back and appears on an advert. I knew 'I'm Alive' was a good streamer as it went Platinum last year despite peaking at #17 in 2002, but wasn't sure where it would place on her overall streaming list. It's nice to see her uptempos taking up spots in the Top 10 - 'I'm Alive', 'That's the Way It Is' and 'I Drove All Night' place among my favourite Celine Dion songs, plus I think the Steve Aoki remix of 'Ashes' makes up a good number of its streams.

'Happy Xmas' was certified Silver last year, so it seems her back catalogue streams pretty well, at least for the Top 11. I was surprised to see 'Falling Into You' album track, 'I Love You' - maybe it gets a boost around Valentine's Day? Would have been nice for some of her earlier songs to show up, namely my two favourites 'Where Does My Heart Beat Now' and 'If You Asked Me To'.

In terms of her biggest songs chart sales-wise, I think this is Celine's Top 10:

  1. My Heart Will Go On

  2. Think Twice

  3. It's All Coming Back to Me

  4. Because You Loved Me

  5. I'm Alive

  6. The Power of Love

  7. All By Myself

  8. Tell Him

  9. Immorality

  10. That's the Way It Is

I like all these songs but special love to falling into you, thats the way it is, & immortality!

I was surprised that It's All Coming Back to Me Now is first place, but I'm not sure I realised that it had had a viral moment! It's one of my favourites so I'm happy to see it!

Love to see I'm Alive doing so well. A #17 peak in 2002, and not ending up in the Top 200 best sellers of that year (which meant it sold under 48k) was an injustice... even though the album was of course very successful. I'm Alive has come so far in the streaming era, as mentioned Platinum last year (25th October 2024). It didn't even go Silver until 24th April 2020, then Gold on 11th November 2022, so that's pretty impressive! It could pass 1 million units by 2028.

It's all coming back to me now is great and no surprises it's at the top but great to see I'm alive top 3 as I love it and 7 for that's the way it is, is great too.

"I Love You" is really popular amongst cover songs and talent show contestants in the Philippines (who just adore Celine in general). I imagine a few well seen covers of those is what's translating into overall rediscovery / love for the track.

There was also a semi-viral clip from like 2019 of the song soundtracking the first dance of a gay wedding as well.
