May 17May 17 I’d love to see the votes without Israel & Ukraine. Both getting way more votes than they would without current conflicts.

May 17May 17 Switzerland jury vs televote results are insane. Top 10 with null points, that must be a first!
May 17May 17 Well done Austria, I nearly called it earlier with Israel winning it lol would have had... that Ukraine situation again.
May 17May 17 That was the first time I heard the UK song tonight, was great staging and vocals but almost came across too polished. That said there is some absolute rubbish which gain public votes. Not sure the voting being open from the start helps matters, I think that encourages political voting, daft move so I reckon they scrap that next year.
May 17May 17 Keep the juries They keep us safe from the political voting campaigns!! Probably from people who have 0 interest in the concert...
May 17May 17 as much as people hate jury voting these votes, dare i say televoting is much more problematic and fortunate we dodged the bullet twice in a row. who knows if israel sends something equivalent to noa kirel's entry in 2023 with a good vocalist next year 👀
May 17May 17 Yeah it is becoming a trend that the jury picks the winner / helps the better song musically

I guess running order matters a bit less. They brought it back last year so they must have been happy enough with it.
May 17May 17 agreed they really ought to only have televote open when all the songs have finished, but clearly they are quite happy to let political voting happen..
May 17May 17 The whole top 3 came from the first half.I think France would've done better with televotes had it not been so late in the show.

May 17May 17 I do think we'll be entering another new meta entry-wise. We're gonna go from left field metal/folk influenced entries to ones that are more classical/opera basedTheater kids this is your time 😅

If 300 televote points are basically secure then the jury need to completely ignore it to stop it. But how can they if Israel send a genuine banger normal pop song one year and not the usual dated propaganda ballad that's easy to ignore.I suppose this year was an anomaly though because it's the most spread out the vote has been in years, which was no real surprise I guess as it was always a hard one to call.So the jury winner has now won three years in a row, but I will take it over the alternative.
May 17May 17 Well I'm obviously very pleased my favourite won as that's very rare, but I'm even more pleased given what we almost got! To be positive for a minute, it's really deserved for such a brilliantly performed and genre-spanning song and a hell of a comeback after 2nd last last year!As for what came 2nd, eurgh x It seems they did pretty much equally to last year points-wise, just finished higher due to the lower scores all around but it's still quite disgusting we've got to put up with this every year now. Even putting aside the obvious, it's always a shame that a contest meant to reflect the best in music has been completely overrun with voters for anything but that reason. Juries need to seriously be careful with this now.Stanning Estonia as high as 3rd as it was really fun and Albania top 10 is a great result, that's a surprise underperformance for Sweden and a shame for something quite different from them. Surprisingly low for Finland and would've liked to see Latvia in the top 10 too. Brutal for ourselves but I completely expected it, It was a much better than expected performance from the juries, but we've got to go further to appeal to the public which this song was just never going to do.
