Jesy has announced her docu-series which will air on Amazon Prime. It is being produced by the same people behind Molly Mae’s docu-series.

She revealed it wasn’t an easy decision to be so public and agree to this, she will finally discuss her departure from Little Mix and her life since that point.

Prime Video and Jesy Nelson have announced a 6-part documentary series, which will follow her journey into motherhood as she reflects on life beyond Little Mix.

Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix will track the 33-year-old through the twists and turns of her high-risk pregnancy and birth of her twins, Ocean and Story, with partner Zion.

Five years on from her departure from Little Mix, Nelson will also open up about that decision, the pressures of fame, and her battle with mental health.

The UK acquisition series, which is being produced Navybee, will be available to watch globally on Amazon Prime and follows her 2019 BBC One documentary, Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out, in which she opened up about the abuse she had received from cyberbullies, its impact on her, and her recovery.

Nelson revealed her excitement and pride at announcing the new series, which will see her "say goodbye to the past and enter this new chapter in my life".

She said: "Letting the cameras in wasn't an easy decision for us as it's such a deeply personal time, but I knew I wanted to tell my story in my own words.

"We opened the doors fully and I'm really looking forward to letting you all in as I navigate my way to becoming a first-time mum to our beautiful baby girls Ocean and Story.

"I'll be honest, it's not been easy as it's been such a high-risk pregnancy, so you'll see all the highs and lows and rollercoaster of emotions we have been going through."

Demi Doyle, creative director and executive producer, Navybee, said: "From the moment we met Jesy she has welcomed us into her world with so much honesty and heart.

"Letting the cameras in during such a vulnerable and life-changing time wasn't an easy decision but she chose to open up in the most brave and beautiful way. With her incredible partner Zion by her side, we've followed every raw emotion, every high and low, and the deeply personal moments that have shaped this new chapter of her life.

"This is more than just a journey to motherhood, it's a powerful, emotional step forward, and a chance for Jesy to finally tell her story. Letting us share this journey is something truly special, and we feel so privileged to be part of."

Hannah Blyth, Prime Video UK, noted: "We are delighted to be working with the talented Demi Doyle and the fantastic team at Navybee to bring Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix to Prime Video.

"The series will offer an intimate look at Jesy's journey – a powerful account that's never been told before - and we are extremely grateful to Jesy for opening up her life to the cameras during such a pivotal and impactful year for her, as she embraces new motherhood and reflects on her experiences beyond the headlines.

"We're confident that our Prime Video audience will be deeply moved by her honesty and strength as she finds new clarity and speaks her truth in this next chapter of her life."

The release date of Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix has not yet been confirmed.

Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix will air on Prime Video.

I'm trying to reserve judgement but it's definitely going to be 'Jesy the victim' again, she's had 4+ years to say why she left Little Mix and a fair few interviews after but she's basically explaining it now because of the £££.

I knew she was going down the Reality route but again it doesn't sit right with me to have a title that reads 'LIFE AFTER LITTLE MIX' using the Little Mix name when she literally wants nothing to do with her former bandmates and has spoken nothing but negatively towards her time in the group and doesn't speak to any of them but because she now has an Amazon show paying good money she's happy to start acknowledging she's from Little Mix when she's shared nothing about any achievements or posted about Little Mix in over 3 years!!

I wish her and the babies well and will of course watch but I never expected a show based around her life after Little Mix, I'd always assumed a first time mum reality style show not a tell all lifting the lid on what happened leading into her pregnancy which means anything she posted was while she was filming the series.

It's making me question would she of even updated everyone with her upsetting Pregnancy scares, posting video's with Zion and then Zion running for Charity if it wasn't for the show (I would think not as she has been silent on Social Media for months and months just makes it all seem insincere like everything was done for the benefit of the TV show.

I respect your opinion, I don't think they should have use 'Little Mix' in the title but the production company knew that would be clickbait. I think she'll only briefly mention her exit and hopefully apologise.

However, I will say I believe she genuinely opened up about her pregnancy to raise awareness. She'd often post even in the LM days about her insecurities and even in the years after, I think she genuinely does mean well and want to raise awareness.

I think this will remain moreso the Mommy influencer route than a Little Mix heavy documentary. I think she will take accountability for what she did and how she could have handled it better (I hope). I'm glad they've said she will address the controversies.

I'm very intrigued to hear what she has to say.

I respect yours too and totally want to see some sort of positive but when she does things like this it's really hard to get on board. I know Perrie, Jade and Leigh would never do anything like this anytime Jesy is brought up they are so respectful and hurt and it must be a kick in the teeth to now see her using Little Mix to promote a TV show when she wanted absolutely nothing to do with the group in anyway shape or form to the point she ghosted them, got her pay out and then fired up a solo career like they didn't exist.

I will definitely watch and I just really hope she does address things, apologise and give us some sort of insight into why she made the decisions she did.

My thoughts exactly.

I hope she’s learnt her lesson from when she first left the group in terms of not throwing people, history and friendships under the bus to get ahead (momentarily).

Jesy posted that it’ll be her first interview with Zion about life since the babies were born.

Still howling at the documentary name. Hated being in the band and the music but happy to dine out on it.

She used the interview solely to raise awareness 🥹 no mention of the doc or promotion by anything. Love her.

Such a beautiful interview.

She came across so well in that interview. I don’t know if it’s just me but I can’t help but think back to LM times and how sad it is that what seemed like the best of friends (Mum’s all excited for them and seemed to get along too) that they just don’t speak anymore.

Obviously things happen in life but it’s incredibly sad that less than 1% probably even 0.5% if that will experience what they have and they don’t get to share that with each other now.

I wonder if the girls reached out over the pregnancy privately or whether it is literally an old friendship that’s just been destroyed.

Jesy is actually so lovely it just massively winds me up she’s continued to not read the room and make similar mistakes over and over.

It'll forever break my heart they aren't friends anymore :( I don't think anyone has reached out to eachother.

I'm hoping in time wounds heal, Jesy apologises for her part and they can atleast be friends again.

Alison interviewed Perrie a few months ago asking if she'd spoken to Jesy and she said no. I wonder if Alison brought it up to Jesy yesterday behind the scenes?

--

On a positive the comments on Facebook and everywhere else have been insanely positive. It's so nice to see people thank her for speaking up as they went through the same thing and those saying they never knew about it until now. Jesy thanked everyone on her stories for the overwhelming kind comments.

Jesy acted badly from LM5 onwards (I have tea from around that time and she really was a nightmare BTS.) It seems the documentary success got to her head and she was actively trying to pull away from the band from that moment. Not thanking her bandmates during her NTA speech was intentional.

If the other girls don't speak to her it's for a reason. She needs to take full accountability for any chance of a reconciliation. It seems Perrie had reached out and was shot down. Sad all round as Little Mix will always be four members to me. I'm hoping the documentary will address it and they can start to build bridges. But it must be difficult to have looked out for someone over the best part of a decade and be discarded in such a way.

Jesy said after she left that she was a complete nightmare to work with because of her own issues and said it must have been hard for the girls to deal with her, she’s openly admitted that.

I don’t think we can say things were intentional because we’re not her or close to her to know that and other things are hearsay. Plus she could have just forgotten as she didn’t expect to win, we all get dazed. But yeah I agree that accountability should be taken for certain things.

What makes you say you think Perrie has reached out? As from everything we’ve seen she says they haven’t spoke and she doesn’t know whether to try and reach out.

Btw please know I’m not trying to argue with you at all and I hope this can stay civilised. I completely get why the LM girls feel shit if she essentially ghosted them, the way she left things with them was bad. She definitely could have dealt with things better. However; I do find it weird the LM girls are friendly with the tiktokers that would mock and troll Jesy for years though, like Max Balegde. I wouldn’t want to reach out if I was friends with people who regularly troll me, but hey they (LM) have their own reasons to not reach out to her.

I really hope she gives us more insight in the doc and accountability. I truly think she was just in a bad place and that’s why she left, I mean she was hospitalised at the end. I think she just dealt with things terribly and didn’t think and irrationally cut them off. However, Jesy left 5 years ago, I think people do need to just back off a little because people hate her for just existing at this point.

I think even if she did reach out and they made up, I can’t see her wanting to return to LM. From speaking to her she’s traumatised by how things have unfolded.

Back to the interview, it is so nice to see her seem so relaxed. I feel like she seems more at peace than she ever has been?

I'm fairly sure she said in the Fearne Cotton Happy Place interview she tried to reach out and it wasn't taken well.

I totally agree with this point. That was lousy on their part to ever associate with him. But I do think the girls could have acted far more reckless and aired dirty laundry. The only true mis-step was Leigh-Anne's DM's but she wasn't to know they were to be made public. I also don't think she was wrong in calling it out.

That's understandable but Jesy was the one who decided to cut off contact with the others and not keep it amicable. It's just sad all round as you can tell there was genuine love between them.

  • Author

Ahh that interview, she said she’s not sure about reaching out as she doesn’t know what response she’ll get and if it’ll be taken well. Guess it shows how much of a mess Jesy was when they were last in contact during LM.

Thanks for replying so respectfully back even though we have differing thoughts. Also I agree it is so so sad :( hoping for a miracle. It’s so strange to see they still have quite a few mutual friends, so hopefully one day.

I hope if Jesy promotes the doc she does a detailed podcast about the whole LM situation.
