Man Utd building a solid top 7 team. I can’t say I’m remotely enthused. I already want to fast forward next season.

There is still plenty of work to be done, and a clearout should be the priority, but it depends who is interested in approaching big waged Rashford, Sancho etc.

I need Jean-Philippe Mateta to join United so I can change my fantasy football team next season to HakCunha Mateta! 😁

I think Mbeumo would be a good signing, him and Cunha could possibly bounce off each other a bit similar to Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke. After how last season turned out even the smallest of steps woul

Yeah same problems as always. Nobody wants to pay good money for our players because their wages are too high.

None of City’s signings so far massively excite me. Weird as they have such a huge squad and Pep wants a smaller squad. You’d think they want rid of Grealish, but not seen any clubs linked with him so far!

Yeah they’re also signing Cherki from Lyon. They’re decent but not on the level of Silva or De Bruyne. Can’t see anyone paying much for Grealish. Saudis ruled out given his alcohol dependency

Jobe Bellingham is going to Dortmund for 40 mill after getting Sunderland promoted to the Prem. Seems the Bellinghams are allergic to playing in the premier league

Sad to see Mbumo going to United, far too good for them 😬.

And the last of Brentford’s famous championship BMW looks like departing…..

Interesting move

His career is pretty much mapped out by his support team. Would say this move has been in the pipeline for a while - go to Dortmund, leaves the option of the Premier League or other big clubs if he performs well. Personally I don't think he's anywhere near the level of Bellingham. Good deal for Sunderland too.

Not happening, never will!

They have to do something. They’ve spent 30 mill of money that should be going to teams on this case and if they win Man City have to cover costs but if they lose the prem has to cover so another 30 mill that’s supposed to go to clubs will go to Man City’s lawyers

The charges are still on going, it will come out at some point. I think someone gave a spring timeline but without no substance. Suspect they will come up, but it’s going to be really difficult to make something stick. Look at now Chelsea have circumvented the PSR rules, but others clubs are ok with it in the main as it means there’s a get out of jail card for them too.

The funnier issue for me, as much as I rate Pep, this probably does just confirm he’s a cheque book manager. They’re banking on Rodri’s knee holding out, as there’s a lot of ground he’s going to have to cover with all of those spaces that’ll be left covering got Haaland, Rejinders and Cherki.

The minimum I was hoping for was a transfer embargo and that would be pointless now since they’ve signed a dozen players. Pep is great but he’s limited enjoyment. I liked end to end games with innovative players rather than machines controlled by a guy on the touchlines. I think every manager successful has been called a chequebook manager at some point. Mourinho was many times. Rodri if not hampered by his injury would have transformed them on his own let alone with all these players they now have.

If there’s one thing we know about Pep though, is it takes time for these players to be fully integrated in to how he coaches them. There’s a lot of new players and while they all seem like solid signings, if the signings they made in January there’s only Marmoush which looks half decent.

He did say earlier the Premier League had changed to be more physical and built on athleticism. Perhaps these signings go somewhere to help that. While I agree about Rodri, the signs were there last season before he got injured that there were cracks.

The one unknown for City too this year is the Club World Cup. It seems like these players are barely having a break.. I suspect they might get 10 days off after the Club World Cup perhaps but it’ll be an interesting one for sure. The players will be conditioned well to start the season but unless they’re well managed they’ll be struggling by March/April.

Olympiacos forward Charalampos Kostoulas is due to undergo a medical with Brighton tomorrow.

The Premier League club are closing in on the signing of the 18-year-old.

Sky Sports News reported on Sunday that Brighton had submitted a bid of £34m for the player who can play right across the front line.

Feyenoord striker Zepiqueno Redmond has completed a medical with Aston Villa ahead of his move next month.

It is understood the paperwork has been finalised on a four-year deal with the Premier League club.
