I went on the gig on Friday 6h in Emirates! It was so cool! Robbie was fantastic and I really loved the C stage in the general admission. He was like 10m away :D

Nice to see lots of youngsters at the barrier there. We noticed how many men there were in the audience last Saturday - way more than 20 years ago

I am positive surprised how full the stadiums have been until now. Even Paris is sold out and France has never been his core audience

the concert in Riga was wonderful! I will not be shy to say that one of the best I have been 😙" "Kissing face with smiling eyes" The show, the interaction with the audience, the audience itself – a really good aftertaste after the event. Years run like roe deer, but Robbie is and remains delightfully true 🩷"

The World's most shameless Devil

CONCERT The music?

It's enough for Robbie Williams to stand and pretend to mumble "The winner takes it all" for a few seconds and make a couple of jokes about his pick.

He still takes gold.

Rating: 3 out of 5 plus
Robbie Williams
Location: Stockholm Stadium, Stockholm. Audience: No information. Around 30,000. Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes. Best: "Let me entertain you", "Feel" and "Angels", as always. Worst: Dead heat between "Rock DJ" and "Rocket". Question: How much of a surprise is it that the choir sings "Dancing queen" during the band presentation? Question II: Shouldn't Robbie soon do a cover of Buster Poindexter's "Hot Hot Hot"? It had, in so many ways, suited the show perfectly.

Normally, seven minutes is not much.

Robbie Williams does, however, have time for a whole show.

That is, a change of clothes and a rocket ride where it looks like he is farting out a huge rain of fire. Then he hangs upside down on wires. Then he performs his national anthem and manifesto, "Let me entertain you". And after seven minutes, he talks about his goal, to become "The King of Entertainment", to the riff from Foo Fighters' "All my life". After that, there will be a couple of silly sing-along exercises with the audience to, in turn, Blur's "Song 2", The White Stripes' "Seven nation army" and Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a prayer".

Yes, it's still only the third issue of the evening.

It's all reminiscent of the obladi and oblada of Christmas tables, or a wedding where a DJ tries to entertain guests who don't necessarily have to be particularly interested in music – they just want to hear something they recognize.

Robbie Williams is still a shameless and entertaining devil who, as it turns out, the longer the concert goes on, gets away with anything. Here, "My way" has as obvious a place in the set as a short cover of "Give it away" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The lowest common denominator is no longer part of the show. It's everything. After all, this is about an artist who can release critically acclaimed documentaries about himself where he is played by a computer-animated monkey.

Actually, Robbie sums up the show, and his own newfound status as one of the world's funniest singing and dancing people, right at the beginning: "Please let me re-introduce myself. This is my band. And this is my art."

When he shouts "And this is my art" he points to his ass. Or he says "arse".

Same thing.

The point is precisely that he seems to have pulled some songs, and honestly some of the concert's mid-talk and AI-generated, out of his ass. It's lucky that the new song "Rocket" comes first, for example. Afterwards, you have about 20 numbers to try to forget that it exists. It is needed. The lumpy dump funk in "Rock DJ" is in turn about as unswinging as, I don't know, the Christian Democrats? When it comes to arena concerts in particular, the obligatory and acoustic segment out on a small satellite stage in the middle of the audience is also starting to feel as interesting and modern as Hyland's corner.

Right now, Robbie Williams seems so comfortable and content to be just a quick-witted and self-deprecating jester who hates to be cool that it's easy to forget that his career is also, to a certain extent, based on music.

Don't get me wrong. He is an extraordinary stage performer, although he has done his best to dismantle himself as a depressed and overrated narcissist for two decades. The audience contact is supernatural. Actually, he could stand and sing "Bo-bompa-bo-bompa-da-da" for two hours. Most people would have been happy to answer "Bo-bompa-bo-bompa-da-di" for just as long and go home.

Robbie Williams is happy to call himself "The King of Entertainment" because there is no one who can replace him, not at this level.

Again, who else can put in a cover of "Theme from New York, New York", performed in a hot pink party blouse, without anyone in the audience making a report of concern? Robbie himself comments on his "Frank Sinatra on funny mushrooms" number like this:

"You don't get this at Oasis!"

No, thank goodness.

Everything ends with two songs that he can probably live on for two more decades: "Feel" and "Angels".

Both are amazing. In the last one, the sing-along is so big and happy here on the edge of Östermalm that it sounds like the government has lowered the tax on the audience's ISK accounts again.
