Each week, 8 new releases are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner which will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year at the end of each quarter of the year, and then again at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2025.

Last week's results:

Ethel Cain - Nettles [5]

Wunderhorse - The Rope [3]

Big Thief - Incomprehensible [2]

Creeper - Headstones [2]

Turnstile - I CARE [1]

Evanescence (feat. K.Flay) - Fight Like A Girl [0]

PRESIDENT - Fearless [0]

shame - Cutthroat [0]

Is that some sort of genre-bending collab between Biffy Clyro and Biggie Smalls? 🤣

Playlists added @WhoOdyssey but I wasn't able to get a link to the Spotify exclusive on YouTube. I can't see any other suitable releases to replace Nova Twins with this week, so we can continue with that but probably best to avoid Spotify/Apple Music exclusives for anyone who uses alternative platforms.

I guess it would be obvious who I voted, but Twenty One Pilots.

Cracking song to lead the next album

This is depressing on a number of levels

My personal rankings for Week 24;

  1. Twenty One Pilots – The Contract

  2. Biffy Clyro – A Little Love

  3. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – Aerodynamic

  4. All Time Low – SUCKERPUNCH

  5. Nova Twins – Anxiety

  6. Japanese Breakfast – My Baby (Got Nothing At All)

  7. David Byrne – Everybody Laughs

  8. Kevin Abstract & Dominic Fike – Geezer
